It's some kinda weird madness that makes a guy try 5 times to get a 700r4 to live behind 500 ft-lbs...just because someone said it couldn't be done. The feeling just after failure #3 was kinda hard to describe.

@PaulDobson: Ya know, Costco sells latex gloves cheap. You can be a gearhead and NOT be a knuckledragger.

You can throw the shifter in neutral and restart the motor before your passenger knows the motor's stalled. And the fact the motor stalled elicits no cause for alarm or worry to you.

@Ben Wojdyla: Oh, I didn't say it was a BAD thing. My HF bandsaw is the hardest working tool in the shed...it just took a little work to get there. :)

@facelessnumber: 18436572...it's the reason an LSx motor sounds wrong. They _changed_ it!

You are a gearhead when you stop worrying bout spilling fluids. Any of them. They all clean up, and you're busy DOING something IMPORTANT.

Gotta love them Orange Harbor Freight tools...for when you care enough to buy the bare minimum.

@$kaycog: I'd say she has two.

Hey, I had my Corvette LONG before my hair fell out! And that cash for Gold deal was just too good to pass up.

lil JB Weld and things'll be Right as Rain!

NP, I'm 6'5"

@MarkB: 2nd place misses the LIDAR

Alas, I have two of the 11 cars here. :/

You shoulda seen us college students (engineering) in 1992 trying to figure out how to hope a Viper hood. It was pretty funny.

@sharkd: She is apparently torquing on the throttle-linkage. Kinky!

The C5 corvette is AWESOME for legroom. I'm 6'6" and it lets me turn on the cruise control, tuck my feet under the brake pedal and stretch ALL THE WAY OUT.
