Great article. I had a 1982 200SX coupe and that little car was a beast; granted it didn’t go fast, didn’t accelerate fast, or win any drag races but it held up to my moronic abuse. I bought the car in my Sr. year of high school with 60k miles on it and drove all over the Bay Area. After many trips during the week

Gotta agree with you for the most part. There’s a couple of things I’d change like
-add is some slider protection to protect the doors and rocker panels.
-Either cut out the wheel wells or swap out different fenders to get 35-inch tires to fit in there (kind of a waste to have 33's on a Dana 60).

Yes, we need a Cuda and Hemo appearance.

That would be a great episode but if the writers from the show did their homework, Castle would know that bullets would be useless against someone like Cage; so he’d use explosives or some how knock out Cage. With that, he’d just through a plastic bag over his head and suffocate the guy.

Yes! To add to this, it’b be nice to order a Rubicon that only has the stronger axles and transfer case without all of the additional electronics; no seat warmers, power windows and locks, etc.

I’ve only been doing traditional boxing for the past couple of years and hands up is the thing that’s drilled into us every time, so it can be used for defense but also serve as a trigger defense in that (the idea anyway) if some one hits you on the glove, you have a decent idea of where to fire back without thinking.

Kind of in the same situation, in that my Ipod classic is great for taking on the trail where I lose any kind of reception and have no ability to stream anything. It’s just nice to have a dedicated device that does one thing really well an not have to worry about. Once that one dies, I’ll be on the hunt for

Thanks for writing this. I’ve seen a few on the road and there’s a couple of them that I’ve seen with larger all-terrain tires mounted on them. With the larger tires and ground clearance, it looks like the Crosstrek could be fun on an expedition type of trail run, like Mojave Desert or something like that.

It would be nice to see a gas tank skid plate and one for the transmission (and yes I have dented a transmission pan bad enough on the Rubicon for it to leak and that’s not a fun fix), though at least the cross member looks like it could be easily removed one it gets bashed to shit and needs replacement.

Personally, I’ve never seen to many Land Rovers to begin with, let alone have death wobble, however I’ve seen quite a few Ford F-250's and Ram trucks get the DW on the highway. I’m a bit used to it in my little Jeep but can only imagine having that feeling in a larger vehicle.

Actually the image you posted shows why articulation is important. Image on left, 1 of the 4 tires is off the ground (and possibly the rear driver is close to being off the ground, if it’s not already). The rig on the right has all 4 tires on the ground, now which do you think has more traction?
Also, which one will

Roughly 5 years for my current work out. For me, I work out 4 days a week and it’s been a combination of boxing on Mon & Fri and a cross fit type of class that more geared towards MMA (lots of kicks, conditioning and core work) on Tues and Thurs. Wednesdays I like to take off to give my body a rest. Weekends are a

It looks like they increase the length from the rear tire to the rear bumper, reducing the departure angle. Knowing my luck, if I bought one, that’d be the first section that’d get crushed from dropping off a rock.

That’s awesome! Can’t say much else except keep up the hard work and keep us posted.

That’s a philosophy that really works well into other sports and something I try to keep in mind each time I throw a punch or a kick (I do boxing and a little Muay Thai/MMA as a work out during the week). For me, focusing on technique first I’ve found that the speed and power will follow (and helps cut down the risk

Yes and no. This year, the weather was amazing even during the night (I don’t think it got below 45 degrees), however, last year it got damn cold at night (low 20's) and I believe it 2015 where there was a storm that had 60 mph winds.

Kind of feeling a bit meh on this one. However if it means that the prices on aftermarket parts for the current JKs comes down a bit, I’d be happy.

I see what you’re saying and looks wise (for me anyway) the 4 door does look odd without a lift and/or larger tires. There are many other SUV’s to choose from, however (like jasmits said) there are very few that have a proper transfer case and even fewer that have a solid front axle.

Do they have the storyboard where the little girl gets eaten within the first 5 minutes of the film? I’ve never found a character so annoying that I was rooting for the dinosaurs.

I’m in the same boat. Having a solid front axle is key for me. Could it be better on the highway? No doubt. If I did more exploration type of wheeling, then I’d stick with my FJ (which I think would be the true competition for the new Bronco if they were still making/selling them) but for crawling, nothing beats a
