If Apple keeps playing like this it will eventually hurt their bottom line. Without El Jobs at the helm (God rest his soul) the real innovation from this company will start to really decline IMO. Seems they really stepped up the litigation because that seems to be their only way they can come up with to protect their

I think you misunderstand his point. The only company that (legally) makes OSX computers is Apple. If you want a Windows PC there are quite a few different hardware choices. Just off the top of my head, Asus, Dell, HP(?), Sony, Acer, Lenovo, Toshiba, etc.

While I personally don't care for Apple products they have have a loyal customer base that will pay more for an Apple product. Even IMO that is sometimes justified. Apple also make the only iOS devices as well, which kinda corners the maket for them if someone want an iOS device (or already owns one or more). HDTVs

Don't really see how this is a smart move in this economy. Even on sites like Amazon Samsung and Sony TVs are noticeably more expensive than comparable sets from Panasonic and Phillips. A move like this will only widen that gap. Yes, you get what you pay for, and I would think in general the Sony and Samsung set are a

$24 and it make two ice cubes at a time? Cool, yet lame.

He's received his implant, he is now part of the collective hive mind. He will add your patents and technological distinctiveness to his own. Your mobile infrastructure will adapt to service him. Resistance is futile.

Come on people, this is just corporate CYA. If a rival company is trying something new and innovative you shit all over it. I think most of us tech geeks are aware that a well done pc/tablet hybrid is the next logical step for high powered portables. Will Windows 8 on ARM tablets be well done? I hope so but that

I hope that's the new logo, it looks like a freakin' sucker. There's an obvious joke there, but I don't wanna be a hater.

I'm by no means an Apple fanboy, hell I don't own anything made by Apple, just not my thing. That being said, I don't understand the general "meh" attitude of the comments on this post. This is a nice bump to just about every spec category. If you think about it, what can a company do for a 3rd gen tablet but bump the

Hence the "with the right equipment" qualifier.

I was just trying to make the point that commercial grade GPS is just as accurate as the new Chinese system (at least for now). The two military systems can whip out the calipers if they want, but it will never affect most of us.

This article doesn't seem to be very accurate, a quick Google search tells me GPS can be accurate to within centimeters (with the right equipment). Hell, if the software is accurate, I just got within 7m with my phone, inside my house. Don't really understand how Beidou could be considered better, let alone a lot

Well I actually own a Kindle Fire, and while it does have some issues it's a great entry-level tablet, especially with the $200 price tag. Amazon has updated it twice since it shipped and another update is coming in about a week. They are listening to the issues and responding. I agree that it was stupid of them to

Saying all Android users are smug and angry is like saying all iPhone users are hipster sheep. It's painting with a broad brush and is just plain ig'nant.

Most of the BAMF roms for the Thunderbolt included the apk when it was discovered. I'm sure future versions will not though.

There should be no reason for a FC, unless you guys are running a stock rom. But even then, it was my understanding that the apk was not actually being used by the system as far as anyone knew.

A lot of people (myself include) prefer the Sense GUI to vanilla Android. But there's no reason for the manufacturers to include things like this.

The fact that you are getting FC's concerns me a bit. From everything I've read the apk was not actively being used. Seems like something is actually using it on the rom your using. I would either switch roms or delete the apk out of the zip before you flash.

Meh, I can't see the pixels on my Thunderbolt's 4.3" screen. Don't really feel like squinting to see that extra content either.

Seeing as how the iPad is not a phone that would be a pretty neat trick, for it to have the largest screen on a phone.
