No-one likes the same stuff showing up again and again
I had no idea they had fins on them. Glad I didn't have to find out in person.
It isn't a case of 'entering a password' as an AIS transponder information is hard coded onto a chip and can't be changed. What they did was effectively overlayed the signal of the other ship over their AIS signal, so nearby boats would think they were the other ship. I still wouldn't call it hacking, but...
Probably the same thing that would happen in any submarine: you instantly regret it.
WOZ gon give it to ya
Fuck wait for you to get it on your own
WOZ gon deliver to ya
Knock knock, open up the door, it's real
Wit the non-stop, pop pop and stainless steel
Go hard gettin busy wit it
But I got such a good heart
I'll make a motherfucker wonder if he did it
Damn right and I'll do it again
Cuz I am right…
Because Gasoline "exploding" and torpedoes are totes the same thing and it would not be suspicious at all.
Thank you guys. I was so confused!
The new project is called the Dark Mail Alliance, and anybody's welcome to join.
Yes, essentially. They report their course, speed, flag, port of origin and destination. If I remember correctly AIS has a very limited range as well, pretty much line-of-sight.
Must Update! Snowden Currently Under Low Approval Rating.
Designed by France, paid for by Asian banks, America is losing.
Sanctioned is a bad thing in this case.
WOZ MY NAME
Hacked into their own AIS transponder? I am pretty sure they could have just entered the password and changed their vessel info.
So they're just basically airplane transponders?
But it could provide far more protection, kind of like a spray on suit of armor.
