Much appreciated.

I was coming to mention I, Robot because while I think it’s not a good movie I liked that they at least did something interesting with the spherical wheels. I knew they were foreshadowing a car chase from the beginning but I liked what they did with the tech they proposed.

Advice from the hive, please: Is there a general consensus on which stick or dongle seems to work best in hotels? I know it’s a crapshoot in general because there are so many variables, but I’m hoping there’s one that those who travel more think is better than the others. Thanks!

Agreed, as much as we want to think GruntGruntFootbawManTough it’s a very different set of things to think about when it comes to being a QB.

Please, don’t let’s start down this road.

I’d also highly recommend the Room on the Broom cartoon. The animation perfectly captures the book’s art, it actually thoughtfully fills in a few motivational points (impressive for something based on a board book), it’s 30 minutes long, and it’s on Netflix (in the US, at least).

Say what you want, the man directed Staying Alive and Rocky IV. This more than qualifies him to helm anything ever.

Creed 2: Living in ‘Murica

He would have made a great Blofeld (and did for the first part of the movie) had Spectre been, you know, good.

I didn’t remember/realize that Smigel was involved but now that you mention it there’s a lot of his kind of comedy in there. Hopefully that Netflix movie will be good, I haven’t checked any of them out yet but may give Wexler a try at some point.

I have nothing to add except that Don’t Mess With the Zohan is a fucking weird movie that people should watch just so they can say “hey, this fucking weird movie actually exists.” I’m not saying it’s funny (it has some moments), but its tone and set-up and universe is bizarre throughout.

Agreed on Jackson and Tarantino. I especially feel Jackson’s role in Django Unchained was underappreciated. He played a pretty complicated role internally so, so well but it was overshadowed by the bigger issues people had with the film, Leo’s heel turn, and Waltz being Waltz. If anyone ever watches that movie again,

All riiiiiiiiiiiiiight! *wiggle wiggle wiggle*

I don’t know what you’re talking about, those high waisted pants he wore were clearly a chilling sign of times to come. Repent now! The sartorial apocalypse is nigh!

Mitchell! Sorry, instant reaction to seeing the name “Joe-Don Baker”. Great name.

It’s tough, we used to let our cat go outside in our fenced yard only when we were outside and he truly loved it. We have a few neighborhood cats around that are indoor/outdoor and they are pretty savvy but I go back and forth because cats go missing all the time, too.

I know lots of people with fat indoor cats, I think boredom is a big factor and, just like some people, some cats will just eat themselves silly if they can.

Lordy, I used to just ask my vet if our cat was too fat. We had a 20-pound mutt with Maine Coon in it who was always about a pound overweight but it would have been far more if we weren’t militant about his food. And, yeah, it sucks to have a cat sit on your head at 5 in the morning begging for food, but you deal.

Yeah, it’s an interesting idea but for a lot of people that way of turning on SOS will just not work.

Most of those shows aren’t even churned out by Netflix, they are foreign shows that Netflix buys the US streaming rights to and claims as one of their originals. Genius straight from the “Syfy Originals” line of business.
