I read once that it’s almost a pure marketing decision. It’s not that people will flock to the theater necessarily, it’s that with even a B-level star you can get them on ET, the Tonight Show, the View, etc., so they are able to make the rounds and promote the movie in a way that a traditional VO performer can’t.

HBO premiered it at Sundance, which made it eligible and it was on the shortlist (docs and foreign pics get shortlisted prior to the final voting) but it didn’t make the final cut. So it was primarily a tv doc but they were pushing for an Oscar and almost made it.

Johnny Chav: Yes, it’s got every joke you think it will have.

Producing or co-producing as the line makes perfect sense. Again, thanks for the info, this is really helpful.

Makes sense, I had no idea that Hulu co-produced the final season of Thick of It (and the Wrong Mans). Live and learn, thanks for the details!

The Thick of It is the same way for Hulu so I’m not sure that’s it. I think it’s what they are calling original, really. Not what’s actually original. Like a Syfy “original” movie, which are mostly things sold to theaters or video markets around the world that the channel has no production hand in.

Hulu is getting a boost that Netflix and Amazon aren’t. Neither The Thick of It or The Wrong Mans (and maybe others I don’t recognize) are originals. They are exclusives but perhaps outside of them deciding to market them as “originals” they aren’t in any way originals. Otherwise Amazon should have Downton Abbey since

I think there’s still a LOT to finish. They were still working on Force Awakens two weeks ago, there will no doubt be tons of work left to do on this one.

What a thug. Oh, wait, no one will call him that, never mind.

Has it been demagnetized?

It’s an okay game but shirling really separates the men from the boys.

I have seen very little Day compared to most, but Joel did show her a bit in character in a video and it seemed different from what I have. Bossier than I’ve seen, for sure, which fits a Forrester.

I refuse to believe that Mullaney op-ed is real. It can’t be, right? RIGHT?! THE WORLD CAN’T HATE ME THIS MUCH!!

I was out of this game after maxing out caps, dwellers, and almost everyone really powerful, but I have to say that the new Survival mode has me playing again. It was a smart move (although you need some patience for all the dying).

I believe I read that the Xbox One will have a fancy Fallout 4 bundle, but has anyone heard any rumors of PS4 bundles? The kind with system, game, maybe an extra controller or another game? I’m still last gen and trying to figure out when to pull the trigger.

I’m waiting for War and Peace and Meerkats, myself.

Me, too, so glad he’s not. Just those commercials for Gracepoint were grating.

I don’t think anything should. I suppose it’s fun for some people, but if they have to do something I’d really prefer they do it during the credits. Go to the credits for a minute, then have the scene. Even as a Marvel sucker it’s just silly at this point, imo.

The design represents aeronautics and is modeled after the test wings in the pictures. Where the design comes from and what it represents are two different things and the article sort of mushes it all up at the beginning.
