Smart cars can't actually get "crushed" by a semi-truck. They would just be pushed out of the way until ever plastic panel is torn off it—the frame would survive—potentially the passengers too.

It's the Malibu—the grille is all wrong for it to be the Cutlass.

That was my guess because of the gold tinge around the wheels; however, look at the black & white image of the front... the grille is wrong.
