You bet, will be interesting. The car Mike has laid out is a LeMans monster, probably not so great on the rest of the WEC circuits, as opposed to the TS040 which loves all the other twisty bits. Yet even more diversity in the class, will be fun to watch!

Let's do a little math and figure out why 2000HP isn't batshit.

Not that I can find. Grades are for safety.

Renault let the Gordini US trademark expire. Gordon trademarked Gordini in 2013.

That is true. I'm just saying that WEC only going to Grade 1 tracks may be correlation, not causation; those are the tracks that tend to have garages instead of pit walls, and probably have better facilities, regardless of whether or not the track itself is any good.

Did not know that, thanks. I thought I remembered a pit wall when TUSC ran through there last year.

At that point, big ass drone should still be cheaper than helicopter, if nothing else than fuel.

WEC wants to race at circuits with garages, not pit walls. All of those around here happen to be Grade 1.

Puddly = purely.

I knew this was going to happen. Didn't even give my ex-lover Fox Sports the chance to let me down again, went straight to the WEC app, ad-free with RadioLemans commentary.

Liason could also be called portage. Its untimed sections, usually over public roads. Just getting from the race to the bivouac.

F1 is the only thing that requires Grade 1. Sportscars require grade 2 per FIA appendix O.

I'd love some stories on the support crews. I hear about truck teams that aren't racing to win, but just act as mercenary on course support. That's a story that needs to be told.

I mean, Total is a sponsor of the Dakar; the Total logo is on every vehicle's number plate, even the DeRooy trucks that are rolling Petronas banners.

That would be Lime Rock, up in CT.

New take on a classic trick.

Why would the Mercedes engine mean different petrochemical sponsorships? It's not like Mercedes is requiring Petronas sponsorships - Williams is sponsored by Petrobras, Force India has Roshfrans, and McLaren has Mobil One.

They lost Total? You think they would stay, as Romain is the only French F1 driver, now that JEV got the boot.

The only bright side about shady douchebags with pedigreed race cars?

Did not know that he goes back to France in the offseason, learned something new.
