For almost every other Gawker blog post... there would be an update as to what really happened - so that misleading reporting wouldn't happen. Where is the one here... right - you guys are going for views and clicks and not real reporting.

I'm in agreement. The guy may have rearranged finances to buy it. What he values is different than what the author of this blog values. Peeing in his cereal was, to me, a mistake and impolite. Not wrong. Just impolite.
I'm not sure that's the best one. This is pretty damn good. AP basically stops running... and throws one guy to the ground.
Beautiful story... and although I have been fortunate enough to make a living where the compensation is good, I will be buying my son/daughter a car that is similar to my first car - a 1990 71k mile Honda CRX DX.
This is one of the funniest Jalopnik posts I've read in awhile. Well done.
In what way was he endangering drivers? He was caught speeding. In Germany, where the highway fatality rates are 1/2 of ours, they have unlimited stretches and people are driving up to twice as fast as he was.
Every person who owns a supercar/hypercar should drive a low power car that teaches them handling characteristics at the limit. I need more time in a Spec Miata personally.
At first i was expecting to read that they were in revolt because the cars look so ugly and people aren't coming to their dealerships because of this. But I guess that was giving dealers too much credit. I then read the article and it dawned on me that Lexus is a lost cause. Dealers asking for crossovers, designers…
Thanks - I share it with an Audi RS4. And honestly, it's a little stressful to drive a McLaren around - even with the parking lift feature. But it just takes a little more planning than usual. Spur of the moment changes in plan can be a little stress inducing.
Nope.. not by a long shot. I really don't see many kids or teens putting a long poster of an i8 on any wall... and that's the main criteria for which I judge a car to be Countach worthy. Call it questionable as a valid assay for badassery (I had a Vector poster too), but that's mine.
This column is absolutely correct. I'm one of those guys that lives in an apartment but decided that instead of sacrificing all my liquid income on real estate in the bay area (to get a 1 bedroom condo with 1 parking spot for 1.5 million), I would get a Mclaren 12C Spider. You figure it's cool. It's a great car. …
I think for the price, the 918 is a better car. This coming from a McLaren fan. The P1 if near the same cost as the 918 would be the better car. But for the amount more you pay for the P1, you expect an almost orgasmic experience that would rival Peter North in his early 20s hopped on Viagra and speed. But let's…
Great article. This is why I routinely read you guys over Autoblog or any other car mag. You guys seem to have an uncanny ability to know what car guys are wondering all the time.
Agreed. Obviously there are varying degrees to this. But OEMs are guilty too. 95% of diffusers that are put on cars are aerodynamically useless. But it looks sporty - and I don't have a problem with that. Now... rebadging a Honda as a McLaren... well that's another story. That's just outright lying.
That's a very pragmatic way to look at things. Which is fine.
It didn't contradict it. I am criticizing a set of opinions. Everyone can have and state them. It doesn't mean those opinions are immune to criticism. Neither are mine.
"Interesting but over-the-top performance vehicles that seem to put such a premium on style..."
If it looks like that blue car.. I'm all in. Need to find a spiritual successor to my RS4 as it gets up in mileage and years. Audi's lost the ball with the RS in the last few years. The RS7 is the worst in my opinion.
Motor trend needs to be higher. People rag on it, but it's actually a well produced series. Especially Ignition with Carlos Lagos. That show gives us test data, a good run down of the car on the road, some drifting and often a track test to give us some sort of comparison. It blows every other American car…
I have a 1991 NSX. No power steering. Minimal traction control. I also have a McLaren 12C. I actually feel like a true driver in the NSX. I'm along for the ride in the 12C.
