I would say it was one of the most interesting side-projects made last gen. The actual game was a bit rough around the edges, unbalanced, and lacked true depth.

Pixel looking low res block graphics were very interesting 10 years ago as a nod to the old school. But now we have Adam Sandler movies, and 800 lego games.

My take is 98% based on Batman from the comics. That is, the best stories about Batman I read, the car was usually reserved for the 3rd arc or absent altogether. When I think back to my “coolest batman” moment memories, none of them involve a car.

As a life long Batman fan, I absolutely hate the Bat-car. Batman is at his best when he is NOT SITTING IN A CAR for crying out loud. The worst batman momements from the Nolan films involve nonsensical Michael Bay style car chases and rocket launchers.
