You mean right before the intersection with Gropecunt lane?

I've driven a Lada and even though I'm fond of quirky Eastern-block technology (I've owned a bunch of Russky cameras, for example), it just ... not good.

Except for the unions.

They're competitive because they're built with tooling they bought from Packard.

It's too bad Tatra never tried selling in the US. You'd think they could've cashed in on the Tucker buzz.

Could she argue that the mug is satire, and thus counts as "fair use?" (Satirical works can be sale)

Satire can count as fair use, even if the work itself is for sale. At least that's the best defense I can come up with off the top of my head.

And a million dollars in liability isn't enough if there's an accident with multiple severe injuries/deaths.

IF the story is true, Prince Andrew would be charged with violating the Mann act, and the Feds would seek to have him extradited. Obviously, that won't happen.

I wouldn't be too sure they already know. Cultural blinders are powerful. Even if they know the West won't like it, there are degrees of outrage. Bitching is one thing. People calling for boycotts (or the FAA to revoke the airline's landing rights is another.

But they might be floating a trial balloon....

That's OK - we've had an interesting discussion.

They're allies in the same sense the Soviet Union was our ally in WWII. We had a common goal - destroy the Nazis. The enemy of your enemy may not be your friend, but they are an enemy of your enemy. Sometimes that's a useful thing. Other times, not.

Your read on the situation is probably correct. But if you want only allies with pure motives, you won't have many allies.

Many times people do the right thing for the wrong reasons. I don't see why this is any different.

I worked in QA/Compliance for awhile. Pretty much all companies view that stuff as CYA, to be done the cheapest way possible.

It's prosecutor in the US, under the Mann act - she was under 18 and taken across state lines / country borders.

The Federal age of consent is 18, so if she crossed state lines (or country borders) to be with Andrew, it's still a violation of the Mann act.

If you know someone's name, and date and place of birth, you can probably get a copy of their birth certificate. The Identity Theft angle is sort of plausible.
