Before venturing up Route 17 on a Saturday, you might try calling the Kings in Moristown or Summit. I'd be shocked if they don't have it. Pretty sure some of the liquor stores in Madison (my college town) have it, too - it's worth a phone call.

All the beer stores in Bergen County carry it. (Yes, I checked)

English-speaking Canada or French-speaking Canada?

Isn't that the plot of the next Borat movie?

Considering the US won the battle of Fallujah (twice!) I'm not sure the situations are analogous. Foreigners making fun of 9/11, OTOH....

AFAIK my 70s era high school had not dress code - or at least no one got in trouble for violating it.

Yes. My 1970s high school didn't have a dress code. Or at least I never heard of someone getting trouble for violating it. Somehow we all survived.

I'm saying some POC, including King's close relatives, believe his assassination was a government conspiracy, and it's not for me as a white person to tell them they're wrong, given the government's known track record, vis-a-vis Tuskegge, COINTELPRO, CONTRA/Cocaine, etc.

Many POC believe conspiracy theories. But things like the Tuskegee Experiment, the MLK assassination, and COINTELPRO really happened, so it behooves white people to tread carefully on the subject. Calling out other white people is OK, though.

It showed that even when we "fail," we succeed; the 3 guys came back alive. It was an exciting plot twist that made the whole Apollo program more believable.

The relationship of "Buff Books" - journalism devoted cars, cameras, stereo, or any other class of material goods - is and has always been corrupt, so the gamers are right about that. When I tried to start a loudspeaker company, a number of mags (paper and online) talked up their "supportive editorial environment."

Exactly. It's not a great beer, but for its price it's very good. The porter and black and tan are more interesting than Coors or Bud, especially.

Gannsett is a thing again? How did I miss this? They also made a good, cheap, porter.

If we're talking about the porter, and the category is "six packs that cost the same as Bud Light," then yes, definitely

I've always thought that if I ever do get my motorcycle license my first (and possibly only) bike would be an Enfield Bullet. Thoughts?

I thought Lotus was basically an engineering consultancy that also dabbled in making cars?

Counterpoint: how much faith it would it take to think your brother is an actual living God?

Yeah, I think ultimately it's a numbers game. If mega-horsepower becomes ubiquitous, there'll be lots of mega-horsepower related tragedies. That'll draw unwanted attention.

They're likely to be older. And to have bought it as an investment. Also - perhaps most important - there aren't that many of them. The more super-horsepower cars there are, they greater the odds of them getting in horrific accidents.
