I think he's Japanese.

Cool. Will this one be funny ?

And indeed, Downtown LA is the best movie set you could ever want to rent with HBO bucks

I have never understood the love for “Skyfall.” What’s a Bond film that subverts the Bond tropes? A spy flick. If not for the Aston Martin DB-5 and someone called “M,” one could’ve convinced me that this was an entry in the Bourne series or any other secret-agent action franchise. Granted, I am an old-school Bond fan

I think it’s a mistake to make Salem’s lot a movie. It’s far too sprawling for that, and much of the impact of the story is its pace, and the slow, methodical way in which the town succumbs. You lose that in the space of a typical feature. It ought to be a miniseries.

I don’t care either way, male, female, whatever, but referring to a singular entity as a plurality is just plain bad grammar.

I didn’t realize we were going gender neutral for Ezra. Which also brings up a topic how one knows when to switch pronouns.

Geez, that woman has a great ass.

Look, I love a good Mustang etc but a GT-R can’t hang? Basically a Japanese Mustang that handles well

That might be funny if I was actually a boomer.

I have an SUV for hauling daily and a sports car for fun. I don’t understand it either.

I’m sick of the SUV hate. They sit taller, your legs are at a more comfortable angle and get almost the same mileage as cars these days (crossovers, not full-size SUV’s)

This isn’t a game that would work outside VR. It’s not just an FPS with VR tacked on... it really is a first class VR-centric game. Everything about it is designed around the player using your actual hands for everything. Unlike most FPS-to-VR ports, the world is utterly interactive... and the gameplay is built around

The game can be played with a WMR headset that costs sub $200. So if you already have a PC that can play Half Life (which was a prerequisite for any mainline Half Life release until the Orange Box), it’s not a $1000 upgrade unless you feel like shelling out for the Index.

I think the key thing for people to get over is buying something day one. “Oh a new thing is out! YOU’RE TELLING ME I HAVE TO SPEND <amount>!!!?!?!” No. No one is saying that you have to do that. If you WANT to do that RIGHT NOW this is what it will cost. Make a choice. Spend the money or get over the FOMO.

You kidding? Although vr ownership is pretty low, the people who do have it are buying up.games.like crazy right now... lots of good sales and new releases and finally the time to play them all and not feel bad. The whole gaming industry is in the perfect situation now... a bunch of bored people with only themselves

Why were you under the impression that you had to use the Index? Genuine question - I’m seeing floods of comments online about the game which all also seem to be assuming the Index is the one and only way to play Alyx. Where is that coming from? Both Valve and all gaming sites I’ve seen seem to me to have made pretty

I am using my $300 Rift from 3 years ago and it’s working great. The PC is no slouch but it’s also not nearly the best these days. GTX 1080/9700k.

Or the best time depending on how you look at things, with 1.5 billion people ordered in some form or another to stay home.

“Forced” isn’t the best word here. The game is compatible with a wide range of VR setups, many of which are only a fraction of the Index’s cost. But those aren’t the best way to play the game, and you likely won’t be flipping off Striders or whatever.
