Except it isn't. When programmed for properly the Wii U is far more capable then the current gen. But of course, it is weaker then the Xbone and PS4, but that was always going to happen with it coming out firsy.

It's £429 here in Britain, and at that price I can upgrade my PC make make it vastly superior. I'm not even a big PC gamer in general, I mainly only play RTS and FPS games on PC. But tell me, why would I want to buy a console, with all the restrictions of PCs, for more then it will cost me to upgrade?
