Oh yeah, Clifty Falls is great. As a theatre major we had to sign an agreement saying we would only hike certain trails if we were cast in productions because one year a few students took a nasty fall down one of the ravines.

Yeah, that’s something I noticed when I got down there (I’m from Northeast Ohio). But it’s astonishingly glorious. Hanover also has the benefit of overlooking the Ohio River and being completely surrounded by deep, heavily forested ravines. Autumn is spectacular.
Hanover College.
Went to college in southern Indiana; wild turkeys abound and they are seriously dumb animals. I recall driving down a two lane highway and saw two turkeys fighting. Each was so wrapped up in trying to kill the other that they were completely oblivious to the traffic zipping by inches away and swerving to avoid…
That’s what we renamed the library.
My undergrad school was in southern Indiana and there was a Skyline in our campus center. Despite being from Ohio (Cleveland area; not Cincinnati) I had never heard of, much less smelled, Skyline before. The stench alone was enough to put me off that mess. The worst part was that it was right next to the mail room,…
Ah, yes the “Ezekiel Elliot clause.”
As typical when watching as a Browns fan, I am sincerely hoping for success but fully expecting crushing disappointment. Is there a word for this feeling? Do the Germans have one? If not, can we make “Brownsing” a neologism?
You’re on the right track with the observation about props and range. Russia/USSR decided to go with turbo props over jets because during the Cold War the Soviet bombers would have to cover huge distances to strike targets in the US. Unlike American bombers, which could be stationed in western Europe, Canada, and the…
Duke University: lower your expectations.®
I feel your pain. A few years back there was a statutory rapist with the exact same name as me—spelling and all. I actually began using my middle name (and the fact that I wasn’t in jail) to avoid confusion.
Prediction of statement from OU: “Whelp, if this involved sexual assault we’d be bending over backwards to make excuses for him...”
This is a D-I NCAA student, I’m sure some booster was more than happy to cover it.
I believe you meant to write “Hero Dutch Groundskeeper.”
I hope you guy will touch on the crisis of the 14th century. It’s an era I find fascinating and, like the decline of Rome, is an example of progress going unexpectedly off the rails after a long period of stability and growth.
It might be worth your while to contact the university and express this as an alumnus, as well as encouraging other UT alumni who feel the same way to do so. While it may feel like a David and Goliath fight, Texas as a university (at least compared many other schools) tends to consider to the opinions of Texas Exes,…
Once again, the Simpsons predicted it.

Dresses are still available in DC, but this is the new must-wear look for the Inaugural.
“Can we get R. Kelly to play the Inaugural?”
