When I am searching, I want control. Regular expressions are one way to do this, but just the old Google standard of -notthis and +alwaysthis were useful tools to control the search. The more control elements I have, the better search strings I'll be able to write, and the more likely that I'll get what I am looking

It's about 300,000 words, making it more of a trilogy than a novel. It's very well written (and I'm not saying that just because the author is a friend of mine) but is what the pony fans call 'grimdark'. There is blood, tragedy, and the most fucked up abuse you can imagine done to those poor post-apocalyptic ponies.

Yeah, screw that stuff. (Literally, use screws. Nails don't hold in particle board well.)

It's important to note that whatever the truth winds up being, the name 'Triceratops' will survive. Even if the triceratops specimens are juvenile torosaurus, the Torosaurus will be renamed to Triceratops. That's because the name Triceratops came first. (This is mentioned in the previous article, if y'all bother to

The more I read about these things, the more I think of them as giant pelicans. Which is pretty scary, considering regular pelicans are pretty hard-core.

Eww. Who wants to lose an eye? :)

I believe the correct term is 'Mimmoth'. Although they need to be even smaller before they're truly cute.

Surely there are two helmets pictured there? I can't see how the faceplate from the third attaches to the cowl. There are no seams visible in the first two pictures.

See all the people in this thread who want to eat this thing? There's madness for you. :)

My theory is that on the Helicarrier, Banner was knocked unconscious from the fall. That let the Hulk out as a mindless beast, because there was no Banner there to hold him back.

Anger is not losing control. Anger is an emotion, and a strong man can remain in control of his emotions. That doesn't mean he doesn't feel them.

In the past, he was trying to avoid becoming the Hulk by avoiding anger. But now he has accepted that he's always angry. The secret to not becoming Hulk is in not losing control. That allows him to become the Hulk at will by finally, cathartically, allowing himself to be free.

No sarcasm. I think a ridiculous villain — like an alien illusionist who claims to be a god — is best for a Hulk movie. The Leader is too staid and boring.

Good point. And if we're counting all comic books (which we should), then Zombieland should also be considered. If we're only counting superheroes then we need to throw The Incredibles in there.

What's the point of making this list, when you're probably going to have to re-do it in a few months? I love all the movies here, but I expect The Dark Knight Rises to bump a few of them. (I don't expect the new Spider-man will, but it's a possibility.)

I want Rocket Raccoon to have his own solo film. Preferably made by Pixar.

The Hulk can carry a film, but he needs a cast of characters around him. A lone nobody with no attachments isn't scary when he flips out and goes on a rampage, he's just sad.

I also think that the first time the Hulk appeared, Banner had been knocked unconscious by the fall. If you knock Banner out, the mindless beast is all that's left in the Hulk.

"I'm always angry" was perfect. Banner is abused and repressed, and I'm a man with the same problems (minus the green growth part). I idolize Bruce Banner. "I'm always angry" struck me as the best line in the film, because it showed the writers understood the character and the pain he lives with.
