The problem is that a player’s interactions are constrained in games so developers need to explicitly point out the things that can actually be interacted with. Logically, something might seem climbable but due to the inherent limitations of level design, it can’t actually be climbed. It’s better to make that clear to

People are noticing that they are upset about noticing that the method of making things noticeable is working, they don’t notice how upset they’d be if they couldn’t notice something because it wasn’t noticeable.

For a good example of why Yellow Paint may be necessary, watch a Streamer play the We Sing level of Alan Wake 2.

The unwashed reddit/tweetosphere needs to understand that THEY are not representative of the other millions who play videogames and aren’t terminally online. This kind of thing isn’t FOR THEM. The devs didn’t put that stuff in to insult your intelligence, they put it in for the normies and there are way more of them

My thought exactly. Hated the movie, but not for Arnies part in it, he was honestly pretty cool.

Can we just put this discussion on ice for now before we all have a meltdown.

That’s cold.

Cool, but we should chill with the speculation until something crystalizes.

While its more subtle, the revolver UI is still there. Take a closer look at the crescent moon shape to the left compared to where the combat menu is.

News to me! Thanks for sharing

Thanks for sharing this. I had owned a GameCube since a few days before their official release in the US and can’t say I was ever aware of this little easter egg.

Wasn’t for me. I never made a habit out of incessantly clicking buttons when my consoles start up and it wasn’t widely reported non-stop. This is literally the first I’ve heard about it.

You see how this whole article is structured, right? It begins - literally the opening sentence - by acknowledging this could be an “embarrassing gap in our knowledge”, then I repeatedly mock myself for reporting 23-year-old news throughout, and then finish by mocking us again by suggesting we’ll report on a Wii egg

I’m 46 and I spent an awful lot of my time playing my GC at the time. Thanks for your concern.

I got the impression that the Whispers aren’t a thing anymore because of the events at the end of Remake. Sephiroth used them to jumpstart his NG+ file so now the rails are gone.

They aren’t remakes.

My first response to this pricing (which I’d never heard of before): WHY????

How much money are you willing to spend on a bunch of digital ships usable only in an unfinished space game ?

So, what’s the point of this game? Is there supposed to be an end boss or do people just go around exploring space and planets?

As a mother, I would just say step away from the screen. Go outside. Get some fresh air. Beating Tetris is not a life goal.
