What restrictions do you have in mind? I love both games (though admittedly it’s been a while since playing DoS2 and have a hard time not feeling that they’re so similar it doesn’t matter.
I’m curious about the ways in which you feel restricted in comparison.

Seriously. With every big release the forums are so toxic that the Toxic Avenger would have a hard time. Maybe Kotaku should do an article about that.

Just avoid the Steam forums for now. This is another game where the alt-right trolls are mad at it. Very toxic on the forums right now. Anti LGTBQ+ stuff. Racial stuff. Being mad because none of the NPCs are “Hot”(aka big breasted aryan bimbos).

Wait... are you complaining that a CRPG looks like CRPG?

With the amount of times I have attempted to feather fall my way to an escape plan I can most assuredly dispute your claim that jump is action free.

This gives me confidence in my choice to wait on this game. Once I buy it, I will be doing nothing else with my free time for months.

Your post has a link that says BG3 dethroned CS Go for concurrent players. The link leads to an article that specifically states BG3 did NOT dethrone CS Go for concurrent players.

Even better for the launcher stuff, under the game properties you can place the command “--skip-launcher” in Launch Options and open the game normally from steam as any other game. Although this will default the game to DX11, if you're using Vulkan you need the launcher until there's a patch or a mod that solves this.

With regard to the first tip, you can throw healing potions at people and they still work. If they’re downed, it still costs their action to stand up, but you won’t have to move someone else out of position to get them on their feet. And they come back with more health, too.

It’s literally in the settings. Do you people not check the settings?

As mentioned in the piece, they do. But yeah, keeping 25 quicksave slots by default is an abnormally high amount for basically any game, so going with “dont trust quicksaves” as the framing of this is just nuts.

Bro most games use 1-3 quicksave slots at most. The 25 default here is already anomalously high. Expecting your F5 spamming to keep you permanent bookmarks for when you wanna get your rocks off is wild lmao

This is 100% on you. Assuming the game will let you fill up all your storage with game saves (by default!) is insane. At most, games will only have 100 save slots, though the vast majority just keep three to five

Its actually quite good, and holding up a lot better overall than Larian’s previous games which were amazing, but definitely uneven experiences. It successfully replicates the sensation of playing old CRPGs like Baldur’s Gate, Neverwinter Nights, etc without using the very outdated formats of those games like a lot of

Probably avoiding spoilers for now, plus clicks generated from people going “wtf” and checking the article.

Oh, I am definitely banging that druid bear.

dude, just because she was in an arranged marriage with a dude doesn’t mean she’s bi, like wtf. if she had consented to their engagement that’d be a different thing, but that’s not what’s going on there.

it should probably be emphasized Japanese fans (and elsewhere for that matter) are also pretty mad about this debacle. too many outsiders are trying to frame this as westerners being upset about anime not having representation (though, actually, people have been giving this show a lot of praise for its representation,

nah, they married. maybe you didn’t watch it, but it’s really hard to interpret the ending otherwise. also the writer did like a bunch of tweets saying they're married, so you tell me.

I will say the memes for Bandai Namco’s fuck-up have been *fire* and I’m loving every minute of it
