wtf is this shite XD

The exact same crap with Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Secret Invasion. Someone writes something clever, the producer says Americans are too stupid to get it, they rewrite it into something insultingly simple that ends up being politically detestable, audiences hate it, the producers complain that Americans were

Reminds me of that world tournament participant in dragon ball that would take her clothes off in order to throw their opponents off and try to win, but with 100% more nudity.

Everyone is horny

Mechanics aside (the endlessly rewarding job system, tightly focused battles, strong pacing), the thing none of the Final Fantasy Tactics imitators and spiritual successors match or even attempt is the tone: hard-bitten, cynical, but shot through with glimmers of hope, decency and a humanist core.

Fell Seal: Arbiter’s Mark hit every FFT note for me, but *more importantly* it captures the essence, feeling, and charm of the wildly good Jeanne D’Arc (PSP). Now if someone could please remaster THAT game, I’d be in Tactical SRPG heaven.

What about Disgaea games? They blow even FFT away with systems.

The whole concept of a “Ghost Kitchen” is such a scam from the get go.

Eh, both Fell Seal and Triangle Strategy managed to nail the concept really well. They aren’t repeating the FFT formula exactly, but that game is also lightning in a bottle.

I’m only a few battles in (like really early, just recruited Poncho) and I can agree with some of the UI and animation quibbles (having to press a button after every load screen is rough), but it strikes me as odd and even kind of stifling to compare every single tactics game to FFT. There’s a lot of other games in

I was there at Fan Fest, and it’s hilarious how TWO DYES PER GEAR PIECE got more and louder cheers from the audience than... pretty much everything said during the keynote other than the actual Dawntrail teaser itself.

I’m leery, I’ll admit that much.

Man considering how much of ARR is basically about going to Indigenous-coded societies and killing anyone who practices their local religion, I can’t say I’m too excited for the ‘colonize America’ expansion.

FYI the free trial doesn’t have a 30-day time limit, it’s unrestricted in that regard

The any kind of headwear thing is especially suspicious but let’s focus on the crocks because that’s funny.

Cros are inherently not “open toe” which is why medical workers wear them in hospitals all the time

Other banned clothing for ESL Pro events includes shorts, flip-flops, and “any kind of headwear.” If you decide to wear Crocs anyway, be prepared to pay at minimum a $250 fine. Apparently, ESL will provide “suitable clothing” for folks who aren’t following the rules and the cost of those rule-allowed items will be

I’ve never worn crocs, but I hear they are super comfortable. Why are people so weirdly hostile about the shoes other people wear? I’m way more embarassed for those people than for someone who wants to wear some chonky slippers in public. Why the hell do you care so much? Just let people enjoy things, it takes nothing

Why would footwear be an issue at an event where 100% of the attendees don’t care about fashion?

huh? they’re gamers...physical appearance has little to do with their profession
