I already mentioned this in Groupthink today, but I had something happen that was so bizarre, I need to talk about it some more.

One of my friends from college is half Mexican and half Jewish, and people ask her all of the time if she's Asian based on her pale complexion and eye shape.

It's mostly the second part, but let me tell you, it's really hard to do data entry and crunch numbers at 2 a.m.

I've been there and done that. Night auditing is fucking terrible.

Relevant.

Am I the only one who imagined Wiress to be black or at least dark-skinned?

I know when we first started dating, I asked my girlfriend a lot of questions about what it's like to be trans, and one of those questions was if being read as male for the first part of her life gave her any perspective on male vs. female privilege. Her answer? — What the hell am I talking about?

Oh, girl.

I have a feeling he might be part Maine, but obviously I'm not sure because he was a stray. It's hard to tell from the picture, but he's actually pretty big, even for a male cat.

This is my boy, Shiva.

What is it with the OB-GYN's in Texas?

This makes me feel a lot better about the fact that each time Ramsay asked Theon what his name is during this week's ep, my girlfriend shouted, KUNTA KINTE!, a la the Dave Chappelle Roots skit.

"Whoa, Reese Witherspoon's daughter Ava is so grown up/looks just like a combo of Reese andRyan Phillippe! Genetics at work."

Disclaimer: I do drink soda, but I try to drink only about the equivalent of a can or two of soda each week as a treat.

Oh, Will. If your son wanted to be dentist (or any other occupation that's not acting), I'm sure you could have helped by, you know ... easily paying for his education and training.

* The chick who dumped me and tried to console me by saying she would have done it anyway so she could join the military.

So clothes that are size 4 or 6 just don't exist? Serious question.
