Their mistake was including combat at all. They need to remove the ability to use weapons, and just limit you to disarming. I don't know who thought mixing shooting with free running would be a good idea. We've known for years that the biathlon is the most boring part of the winter olympics.

I don't really understand it either. If your market is so niche that you don't think worldwide physical distribution is profitable, why not throw it on as many digital distribution mediums as possible? With Cave having the largest name in the genre, it shouldn't be against better judgement to at least put them on

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that Sony's own restrictions prevent many of those titles from appearing on the PS3. Since Sony only allows widescreen-enabled games, that prevents direct ports from lower res consoles and shmups (unless they're downloadable). Almost all Cave games are vertical shooters with

I think Agrias was 100% about her duty. She was a very one-track character, so I don't think she would have given him a second glance anyway. Delita was quite an unbalanced canoe. Then again, who doesn't have a childhood friend who grew up to become evil for no reason? Just me?

Name that lady.

That's true, I'd forgotten about that ability. I hope they are quite different, so we have incentives to restart the game from the beginning, rather than piling on levels for one character.

But are classes still completely pointless, other than a way of selecting starting equipment?

The problem with the 'wait and see' approach of NOA is that it only really works for the Xbox 360. The PS3 is region free, and the Wii can be region free for anyone with 15 minutes, SSB Brawl, and an SD card.

For those wondering, all 5 games are currently available for Steam activation.

If Japanese developers don't have the necessary culture and 'social skills' to relate to western gamers, they don't need to change. They just need to focus on making great games, and the localization needs to pick up the slack. Instead of word for word, groan for groan, give us a translation that conveys the story

You're right, and they're idiots. If they died drunk driving I would also laugh. I hope they would do the same to me.

@ARYXANDRE: Way to overgeneralize. What about all the bundles with great art like the God of W....Team I...Prince of...Tomb Ra....Sly Coo...

@KaMai: I would have felt bad laughing at that a week ago. Add alcohol to the story, and I no longer care. Joke away!

@jayaroni: I hate that I read your post, and could immediately see the layout of said map in my head.

@SuperSmexyGnome: You must have just been lucky. Fallout 3 on PS3 locked up my machine once every 30 minutes. I wish that were an exaggeration. Granted, I played through it at launch, and they could have patched it. Still, games should ship in working order. I'll be getting the game of the year version of this,

@Tau_Rho: The PSP does win when talking about SRPGs. I love Jeanne d'Arc dearly. Although I personally think Valkyria Chronicles II should die in a fire. It's a massive disappointment after the masterpiece original. Another vote for Valkyria Chronicles on PS3 if you haven't tried it yet, Raygun.

@WhoKnew?: I hate lists, but like making them.

What is the subscription base for Hulu Plus now? I thought it was a joke to pay for a streaming service that still has ads, but apparently it's still kicking. For someone who doesn't care about current TV, and has a netflix subscription, is there something that justifies the cost of Hulu Plus?

@gigawings: But then it's not a survival horror game. If you have any kind of power, the fear is gone. I'd prefer they keep action and horror separate. Else we get more truly horrifying abominations like Resident Evil 5.

@NarooN: I'd also prefer a middle ground, like Rule of Rose. You're an average underpowered human, so you should run, but you can also use a kitchen knife you find if necessary.
