@Levo: Actually, wouldn't this make them ahead of the times? As far as audio quality, the difference between optical and hdmi is negligible. Optical can only carry 5.1 , and no lossless formats, while hdmi carries everything. Since this is a blu-ray based player, TRU-HD, DTS-HD and other multichannel sources will

Can anyone who has tried this clarify the 'campaign saving changes' bit? If this means B-Spec has been reworked to actually make sense, GT 5 may finally come out of my closet.

I think it's safe to assume we're getting a gaming device. It's hard to compete with the phone market for mobile producivity, so it's not much surprise that they would gloss over those features at E3. There's one thing that I'm guessing won't make the productivity app cut though...

That's very interesting. An effort to prevent users from getting the welcome back freebies from each region perhaps? I'll have to try it later. Odd that they would IP block the store, since a company should want your money no matter where it comes from. Video store restrictions maybe? Intrigue!

@TheCowboyPoet: It is very interesting to see somebody who loved that side of the game. I absolutely hated every character. They killed the game for me. I'm glad they made it so polarizing. Love it or hate it, it was very unique. Hopefully they continue that style for you in the sequel. I'm ok with only enjoying

@Kakujo: You fools! You divided by zero, didn't you!?

@Slagathorian: Save the trees and kill the children.: It really is a bad habit. At least skip a generation to throw people off. Everyone now expects a 3ds lite, then 3ds 1.5, maybe an XL. While they'll get more money from future hardware re-releases, they need the third party developers on board now. Same goes

I would love some story driven coop, but if developing it takes even a pinch of effort or resources away from the single player experience, it's a thumbs down from me.

@Kakujo: Almost all of yours are better than what's posted here every week. Great job.

I don't know, but I have this weird urge to play Flower now...

Can't argue with that. I have not once gotten voice chat to work 100%. It's hard to imagine why the series hasn't made the leap, given the PS3's success in Japan.

@JC_Denton: I completely agree. The sequel (have only played the localized 2) slightly improves some battle mechanics with a bit more depth, and kills everything else that I love about the original. I hate every character, the non-existent story, and the easy difficulty and repetition of maps. Even though VC is one

The IT Crowd.

I thought of that so-called "blunder" too after posting. I wonder how the community would have changed if that decision weren't reversed... I like to think that meeting strangers in-game would be more like supermarket encounters rather than the usual prison yard encounters.

@Zwonked: It doesn't. Just the vocal, anonymous minority. The Internet would be a much better place if everyone were forced to use their real names.

@Shin Lord: Most certainly the Panasonic Q. Even though I just learned about it yesterday from Luke's post, I feel like I've wanted one for years.

Color E-Ink with some more ram would make me much happier than an improved nook tablet. How anyone can read for long periods of time on a backlit screen is beyond me.

@MetaTotoro: They aren't going off stereotypes, they're going off sales. We in the West throw all our money at stereotypical games, with sequels that improve little to nothing. Of course they want to get in on that action, and I don't blame them. That's 100% the consumer's fault.
