The thing about Apple is that it isn't a direct competitor. Apple isn't cutting into the handheld industry, they made their own market that hadn't really been tapped by anything other than flash games, and made it mobile. Dsiware and PSN minis may try to capture some of that market, and Apple may try to capture some

@Sean Burchett: I was thinking about the UO-Hybrid free shard actually. I imagine the community on the official shards is much better though. Is crafting/gathering still a useful way to spend your time? I loved that I could play it like an mmo Harvest Moon or Diablo.

@Pious_Martyr: Agreed. It is a fantasy world where you can do and be whatever you want. WoW-style mmos fail so miserably at creating an immersive experience that they seem like such a regression in comparison.

Not the point of the article, but reading it just makes me want to play Ultima Online again.

@kyleshark: Wow, I almost forgot how great Chronicles of Riddick was. Such a high level of polish for a licensed game. Indeed, giving your on screen character an actual body gives you a great frame of reference and does so much to immerse you in the game. Unless I'm playing a ghost, I should see legs when I look

@slumz: I would consider killing you for your copy. I wouldn't, but I'd certainly consider it. Guess I'll have to be content watching you do time trials.

@kyleshark: If I could only have one new game for the next five years I would want Mirror's Edge 2. Even another time trial map pack for the original would do it for me. First person can indeed be amazing without the use of guns.

"...first person" meh

This is what I've been looking forward to all week. Either my life is very boring, or this is very interesting. Probably both.

@jayntampa: You know, the game was so theatrical in itself, I'm not sure anyone could make a good movie out of it. You'd either be remaking a story that everyone has already played through, or betraying the franchise like this particular attempt. A prequel movie about Drake and Sully, however, would be amazing.

@pixelsnader: And it succeeds, but I enjoy doing all of those things. Simultaneously.

I smile and nod whenever I see Amnesia mentioned. Few games have that ability.

Rated M for Mature, online interactions not rated. While the guy did probably know the kid's age after talking for months, what was the father doing letting a 12 year old girl play Resident Evil 5 online in the first place? Maybe the real evil resided in her own home all along...

Thinking about some Uno, but...

If you upgrade to the $400 models, you get a feature on the face of the watch that displays the time.

Great job on #14, Shanzay. I sure hope they keep her just the way she is for the sequel (It is toooo coming. I can't hear you... lalalala)

@Ken: What games are we missing? The psp has been a great platform for publishers like Atlus and XSeed to bring obscure Japanese games to the west. You may be referring to love sims, which I personally don't miss. If you're referring to the Suikoden collection, then congratulations. You just made me cry.

@Zepultura: You'll need it for the AMG special events. It's driving me crazy. I'm not even close to gold on some of them.

@Manly McBeeferton: It never ends or gets old. I guess I'm "grinding" for Crawmerax, but it doesn't feel like it. I'm having a blast.
