@MaliciousH: Play emulated games on a tv with the dualshock, use a web browser of choice, anything computer related, play any kind of video or audio codec. The government uses it for government-y stuff.

@ollin5335: You've singlehandedly made a lot of people angry who would have otherwise enjoyed a lovely night.

@Goldwings: Giving Kotaku sunshine since 07: You're right that it isn't widely used. But I also think the majority of people who would go on the playstation blog to see that post would know/care about it. It didn't have that "joke" feel to it though...

@Guard: I'm a gamer... I use it regularly. You're right though, I'm probably in the minority. You're wrong about it hurting noone though. Those who purchased the older models were promised PSN connectivity and an optional OS install. With this update you can only have one or the other. I think a lawsuit would

@Bard of Awen: Aww, I was about to give Kevin Butler a fresh new title. Yours is great though, I won't compete. I still hope this turns out to be a case of Kevin Butler, Vice President of April Foolery. If I see a video of him on Youtube mocking all the whiners about a fake update, I may just wet myself.

This Playstation update is happening on APRIL... FIRST... that is all.

@deanbmmv: Well, that comment made my day. I should go ahead and sleep, things will only go downhill from here.

What would be a real kick in the teeth to EA, is if this game is amazing.

@AchromaticMagus: It obviously belongs to the Fan Service Cash Cow genre. Sub-genre, you ask? Fighting game.

@Muskrat 42: I never raised an eyebrow playing Half Life or Dead Space. Screams, sudden movements, and creepy environments are all lost on me. I sure broke a mean sweat playing Heavy Rain though. If I fail, my son dies, and the story continues with my failures. That's terrifying to me.

@Metalive: Yeah, it's kind of like what Wahrheit said. If they were properly informed and still made the decision, the fault lies with the consumer. If they were ill-advised by the company (or ignored as in the McDonalds case), you're right, they should be compensated. It still seems like overzealous litigation in

@VincentGrey: I always wondered.. does the baby drink the blood?

@AchromaticMagus: What would be nice is a dual review. Half from the series lover, nostalgia crazed gamer, and the other from a newcomer unfamiliar with the game/series.

This would be great if it were focused on relevant and significant games. Not that it can really be compared to literature, but many classic games have a lot to offer the mind as well.

@Dwindle: That is a legitimate reason to be ticked. There are probably many legitimate reasons to sue Gamestop. Sadly, this particular case isn't one of them. I was excited at first that used game (and console) sales might get a kick in the teeth. Then I read the lawsuit and sighed. The judge is going to laugh

Wow, for once I side with Gamestop. This guy is just trying to cash in by starting a lawsuit with a big company.

@Bloodspoor: For some reason King's Field never really clicked with me. I tried replaying the sequel (first US release), and still couldn't warm up to it. The Armored Core series was fun back then, but still never managed to win me over. It wasn't until Demon's Souls was released recently that I really understood

I am quickly falling in love with From Software.
