Just had this happen.

Replacing that average vehicle with something cleaner is pretty much the single biggest step you can do to reduce your carbon footprint.

For most areas of the US an 8 year old car is not a beater. In most cases it is a car that is at or just passed 100,000 miles. Example, my ‘03 vehicle (with 200,000+ miles on it) still gets 26mpg city/32mpg highway, slightly better than the average 2019 F150 sold (the best selling vehicle in 40% of the states).

Add to the list high speed rail and public transit.

I need 2 of these.

My best friends first car was an FJ40 (this was back in the 90's when they were affordable), he sold it senior year. Fast 20 years and the guy that he sold it to has it in pieces (was “going to” restore it) and has offered it back to my friend (going so far as to wheel the carcass over to his dad’s shop).

I was laid up for 7 or so of the last 23 months, so I had some time on my hands. Watched Gung Ho! and Mr. Mom.

You could say Rhodes, and Ohio, were Gung Ho!

Use the cheaper “popcorn” buds, don’t grind it too fine, and use a crutch. DO NOT buy the pre-rolls, 90% fail to do their job.

We used one to roll spliffs, then would smoke them on the walk to class. If someone said anything, we just said we were smoking cheap cigarettes and kept walking.

Years ago I was at a club (non-auto related) meeting, and one of the newer faces and I got to talking. He mentioned he had just moved here, and in that exchange mentioned how he was having issues with his landlord. When I offered some knowledge on the landlord-tenant laws in our state (VERY favorable-a change from

Watched Winning: The Racing Life of Paul Newman last night. 1) Paul Newman remains my hero; 2) something he said (paraphrasing) “I’ve been looking for a good racing movie for 12 years, can’t find it”.

This.

Knock on the door of a nearby house and ask to borrow one?

Any known emulsifier will work, denatured alcohol is my go to.
