This did not look like a kit.

I was driving, and only had time for a thumbs up.  It was close to home, so maybe I’ll see that unicorn again.

The just cut the top off behind the driver, and down to just below the window line and cut that all the way to the back. For the back of the “cab” it looked like the back out of a trubbit or old Datsun pick up. I don’t recall what they did for the tailgate, was driving and only had time for a thumbs up

I saw a late 90's Passat (VR6 MT) that the owner had turned into a proper ‘ute* yesterday.

Thanks for being a reasonable person.

The only disability that I can think of that is actually hindered by a drive thru is being deaf.

That is because they use the same castings for all in order to keep manufacturing simple, and thus costs down.

You cited handicapped as an argument advocating for the use of drive-thru, I was just pointing out that drive-thru is explicitly NOT a form of ADA access as defined by the ADA act.

Driving? Yes.

Drive-thru is not an ADA compliant point of access. Furthermore, even if it were (drive-thru only hours have been challenged (not always successfully) on their failure to be ADA compliant - blind people can’t drive) it would likely not fall under the “reasonable accommodation” standard set forth by the ADA.

As noted in another response, it is was a thought exercise. In my mind it would lead to less people frequenting those establishments as it is more difficult and costly (time) to do so (especially when considering kids have near ZERO control over the food they ingest). I am of the opinion this is a GOOD THING,

Like the waistline of their patrons.

Like the waistline of their patrons

Imagine if people spent half the time they do “thinking of the children” as they did considering, “man, people without kids really aren’t gonna like this”.

If you are there enough to have adequate sample sizes from both, you are going there too often.

The number of people praising Chick-Fil-A has the comment section has it feeling like sponsored content. So yeah, I apologize for being a voice of conscience to the discussions of that particular oversized deepfryer.

Show me one.

Fine, but you’re going to get pushback from people with kids.

I prefer my chicken free-range and hormone and hate free.

The number of people that will willingly sit in a line of 12 cars at a drive-thru, versus parking and walking in, is astounding.
