Sadly enough, this has happened frequently enough to various sites, previous commenters have coined the term "lifehackered". I haven't seen it used much recently, but I know I've seen it a couple times.

It doesn't use a nice interface, but if you go to the windows command prompt cmd.exe, go to the root of the drive (cd C:\ if C drive or cd \d [drive_letter]:\ etc.. if another drive) that contains the hard links and type
dir /al /s
it should give you a list of all hardlinks and junctions on the drive as well as the

My boss, who is a good programmer but not what I would call techy (he admits he doesn't like to experiment with computers much) has over 11,000 unread email in his gmail account. Every time he wants to show me something or ask me a question I have a hard time paying attention when he leaves his gmail open on one of

Also, not everyone's UPS/Fedex deliverer is that reliable. Depending on the number of packages they have to deliver that day, the ones that deliver to my home address will usually show up anywhere between 12 and about 6.

Actually, it's not usually formatting that is the issue here. The drive does hold less data (according to the OS) than is stated on the packaging. This is due to the difference between the SI prefix Giga used by hard drive manufacturers and the general software/computer prefix Giga. A Gigabyte according to hard drive

In addition to what Whitson said, there are some games (like tf2) which steam won't allow to be installed anywhere but your main steam folder.

Ah, that makes sense. I only use GNUemacs, so I (wrongly) assumed it was in most variations of emacs.

Note, this should work in any emacs, version dependant, regardless of whether you are on linux or mac (might work in windows GUI version as well, though I haven't tested it).

It's not compatible with android <4.2 because android 4.2 is the only one with lockscreen widgets (without 3rd party apps / mods). He simply made a lockscreen widget, not a lockscreen replacement.

I used to use 1Weather, but uninstalled it because it became confused about my location when issuing weather warnings. I live at a high elevation pretty far from any coast, but would get multiple "Coastal Flood Warning" notifications from 1Weather. (I had never had any other location set in the app, or on my phone)

I wasn't trying to be condescending, I was just noting the irony in that particular typo . Also, I blame gizmodos tag system, since this post showed up near the top of my sidebar, so I assumed it was recent (didn't look at the date of the article).

I find irony in the fact that you used "alot" in your post, instead of "a lot".

I believe it says in the article that the pi A (the new one) uses 1/3 the power of the the pi B.

Considering CM10 is jelly bean, I should hope so. This app is only for phones running versions of android from before ics.

Not sure if I'm reading the article wrong, but I think you're a bit confused about what this update did. It didn't enable "Flow through space" in all text fields, it enabled Flow in all text fields. It was Flow itself, and not just "through space" that wasn't enabled for most text fields. Granted Flow through space is

In android, depending on version, this is entirely unnecessary. I know it's been said before, but android will close your app after you leave it when it starts to run low on memory. Android keeps programs in memory after you leave it, so that it will load faster the next time you open it. This is why most android devs

I don't use Firefox anymore, but one of the nice things about it was always about:config. Check if it's in there (may be difficult to find). Warning: Some of these settings can break Firefox if not set correctly, so make sure you've done your research before changing anything.

I would assume because the amount of energy needed to power the laser would most likely exceed the power generated.
