prefer the coupe but its decent

"No. No. No! NO!! DO NOT LET THOSE PLANES MEET, FOR GOD H. JESUS CHRIST'S FUCKING SAKE!!!"

Look at the amount of money actually involved. If you drive 15,000 miles a year and get 20MPG even if gas prices increase to $4 a gallon you're only paying $3000/year in gas. If you get a smaller car that gets 30MPG you'll pay $2000/year in gas. Saving $1000 a year or $83/month really isn't that much for most people,

I've never understood the obsession with fuel economy, the amount of money you save switching to a higher MPG car really isn't a huge amount. Even if you're paying $4 a gallon for gas if you drive 15,000 miles a year and get 20MPG thats $3000 in gas, if you drive a car that gets 30MPG thats $2000 a year in gas. So you

Because consumers are responding to all of that extraneous crap buy, uh, buying the cars that contain it.

Do you want to know why EV's are selling like hot bread in Norway? I'll explain it to you, real nice and simple.

Article title just plain shat me off. As if you couldn't or wouldn't do the same thing whether you're riding a motorcycle, driving a car, or paddling a fucking canoe down the road. It's just common human decency. "Two Wheels Can Actually Be Good"? Because every other second of their lives motorcyclists are hiding

There are healthier ways of being active than running further than anyone actually needs to.

ever swept dust under the carpet? this is the same thing in towtruck land - can you see the car after they're done? no. Thus, it's another successful road clearing.

Agreed.

I want to point out the bigger issue with number 1.

The trouble is the modern car you are driving, it's the not so modern deer/antelope etc. And the not so modern rural traffic with defective taillights that you can't see until you are hitting them. Then there is the broken down truck, the minivan full of kids who's driver panics when they see your lights approaching

No, it's not an aggressive commute. To go from NY to LA in 29 Hours requires an AVERAGE speed of 98 MPH. That means most of the trip was spent well over 100 MPH. It's reckless, plain and simple.

I appreciate the sentiment but 2 cases of a saved airliner vs ~30,000 vehicular deaths each year are slightly incomparable. And the fact that we are inventing computers that will one day drive us is testament to our creativity and achievement. So in some ways a computer driven car is still driven by "us".

I think we've already proven that a car driven by a robot is faster around a race track than one driven by a human.

Nothing I like more on a sunny/cloudy/cold/hot/dry/wet/rainy/snowy/foggy/hot/muggy day when I'm tired/hungover/sick/late/bored/sore/angry/high than to get stuck on traffic, pay tons of money for gas/maintenance/taxes/insurance and have difficulty finding parking spots.

  1. ???

That's a fair point. Driving is like poker. Skill and experience will take you much further than luck generally speaking. That said, you can be the most skilled and experienced player in the game and occasionally, you'll still get royally screwed by a jackass who flies by the seat of his/her pants.

I don't think that's really the argument. ANY car/truck/SUV that was occupying that spot in the road would have been screwed yes...

If I'm paying to go to the Series, it means I want to go to the Series. The way I look at it, I'm going to Game 1 and saved pretty 100% on the price, so I've already profited. Have my cake and eat it too.
