Maybe she's cooking dinner for him every night? Or myriad of other reasons for wanting to know when he's leaving work that you know nothing about?

Eh. To each their own. I'd certainly say no, but just because I don't need something doesn't mean I don't get it.

Realistically you're paying for instant gratification. Do we need all of those things in two days? Most of the time the answer (at least for me), is no. I have a student account that I have for free, but I'll be ditching it once they start charging me $50 a year come this summer.

Yes, but this doesn't include the cloud of smug!

You did bring up a good point though- this sort of stuff isn't always a great idea. I think in this case it would be helpful though, as you could have a pro look at an image it's flagged, as opposed to having pros look at thousands of images of featureless ocean.

If a "square" is flagged, I'm sure they'd have an expert take a look at the image before dispatching SEAL Team 6.

This is a little different. I don't think a sandbar will experience much harm if it's falsely accused of being a crashed plane.

I see this article takes the typical form of: baseless speculation for a while, followed by the actual facts at the very end.

These tips might work for a cruise that is almost exclusively at Port, but if you're spending much time at sea you might as well have just read a book at the beach.

Automate them!

To all the "autobahn" people, were you aware that the unrestricted sections of the autobahn have higher fatality rates than the restricted sections, to a rate that is worse than that of several US states?

Maybe we'll just have to try that triathlon and then reconvene this discussion. :-P

At games I always get the "premium" beers.. Because the line is shorter, I like the beer better, and the price difference is like fifty cents on an eight dollar beer.

I didn't say I'd also bike 100 miles and swim a few too!

I think that if I lived in that town I would be hiking up those hills as often as I could!

How do they know it's been burning for 6,000 years? Not dubious, just curious.

More dollars than sense I guess!

There seems to be some confusion on the part of most commenters. No one is saying that Allegiant is required to refund the fare. They're just saying that it would be the decent thing to do. And what's inaccurate about the headline? It's a clear statement of fact.

Yes yes yes! If I'm buying a non-refundable ticket, that should mean I actually have a seat on the plane.
