The Phoenix mask reminds me of the symbol from the modern BSG.
“Imagine if our society had access to fossil records and space travel, but also had objective proof that the sun moved across the sky because it was a flaming chariot being chased by wolves.”
Way back in the 90s, there was a nerf game built on the Unreal engine, and a Star Trek game built on Quake 3. Apparently they were as solid as the engines would suggest. But not one speck of the red stuff. IIRC, Trek called it holomatch, while some kids got to play the nerf one in school.
Yes! I think it’s the art style.
I’d never seen it before. But I looked it up. Seems that it gets used because it looks so cool!
I really don’t like that Superman one, because it’s such a terrible way to carry some. Sure it looks dramatic enough, but I just can’t support the lack of head support.
Anato Finnstark? It’s like someone started with a Tolkien name, got confused, and ended with Martin.
“I don’t dress like a ninja before I use it though.”
The other day, I found myself looking up screens from Zeus and Pharoah on GOG, and I can’t explain the appeal. There’s just something about that style I like.
I love the Borderlands gameplay. The story? It’s... there. Would a movie work? Well, it isn’t *me* getting an awesome gun and shooting bandits. I’m deeply skepitcal.
When Gamespy died, Borderlands 1 was updated with a different multiplayer. I know the games and services are different, but can’t that be done here? Or do Rockstar not care enough?
I’m glad I don’t play this game. It sounds like more work than fun. Yeah, I see how it pays off. But in another month, there will just be a new thingy to test people’s patience and commitment.
Yeah, it’s not perfect. But if you play on easy, at least the fights are short.
I hate both cringe comedy and possession stories. There were a couple of interesting quests, but not enough to make me replay it.
Witcher 3. I’m not a big stroy game person, but that one really moved me. And got me, twice. “Wait, I went through all that and... oh.” The second time, I almost stopped playing. But I knew I had to see the end. I was so happy when it turned out well.
Helgen from Skyrim. Well over a dozen times. It isn’t bad, but by now I’m over it. Same with Bleak Falls Barrow. I can only play the same levels so many times before they lose their power.
I replayed both this and Soldier of Fortune last year, when they appeared on GOG. Neither aged very well. But I still hold out hope for Elite Force or Heretic 2.
That village reminded me of Morthal, possibly because it’s close to Solitude and already has a vampire problem. But I’m prepared to be wrong.
