I don't know. I feel like Garfield had the spastic witty banter down and made an excellent Spiderman, but he was too cool to be Peter Parker. Tobey Maguire had the opposite problem he was a nerdy underdog who made a great Peter Parker but was not as fun or frenetic as Spiderman needs to be.
