FFIX has already been remastered... From a mobile port. Huge, clunky UI, inability to hold X to attack, etc.

Any word on whether the stuttering is inherent to the remaster, or just the Switch version of the game?

You know, the best Lego figures are the non-minifig ones. Maybe they should think about moving away from the uniform flat body design?

The fact that you can readily purchase a Series X today means that the US numbers for Xbox are likely at the saturation point, whereas PS5 continuing to sell out means that its numbers are definitely lower than they otherwise would be.

Honestly, I’m a little bummed. For gamers, there’s just something about the excitement of getting a whole week devoted to the thing you love, with big presentations and the anticipation of huge reveals.

Isn’t Hanagami saying they plagiarized the first three seconds, rather than the entire sequence?

The whole Netflix analogy is wrought from the get-go anyway. The big thing about Game Pass is Day 1 games. But for Netflix, zero blockbusters release on the service the same day they premiere in theatres.

I love how one of the biggest touted advantages of crypto, decentralization, keeps proving to be utter BS. Anytime something big happens, the invisible hand springs into action and cooks the books to “correct” the “mistake.”

Microsoft has so few major singleplayer games that point is fairly moot. But, for example, has Game Pass impacted the way Redfall was designed?

While that may be true in general, I task you to find the microtransactions in Ghost of Tsushima, Horizon 2, etc.

Wait, do you realize you’re saying opposite things for basically the same thing?

I already had one PS3 (launch version!) crap out on me. As far as I’m concerned, the console and its controllers are just ticking time bombs.

Sony patented a process for playing PS3 games on PS4/PS5 architecture, so I was hoping that the increased horsepower of the latter was finally enough to emulate those games. Alas.

I would certainly take the whole quality-tanking at face value. A few notable recent Microsoft releases have added microtransactions, so it’s an open question whether that’s due to the games being “free.” (But let’s not forget the fact that Gran Turismo 7 also has a lot of mtx)

Isn’t GPU supply increasing, tho? Which would imply that the chip shortage is abating.

Too afraid to go up against Elden Ring, eh Eiji!? /s

Of course, guarding doesn’t prevent bleed buildup, and therefore doesn’t prevent these bugged dogs from tearing you a new one!

Ah! I remember these guys, and my puzzling over how such lowly dogs could kill me faster than anything else in the area. Now I know!

But quite likely it hurts their reputation more than it helps their bottom line, yes? Most people would call that self-destructive.

I personally dislike first-person games, but I was among the first to point out that making RE7/8 first person essentially returned them to tank controls.
