Does this mean Brian Ashcraft is the last remaining old guard?

This article has pretty much shown that any of these places are pretty chill so long as you stick the backwater towns. Spira is no different.
My launch PS3 just bit the dust, which means I’m now going to have to dig out my PS2 to play any of those old games. =O
Seriously. The Switch is Nintendo’s first non-BC handheld since the original GameBoy. No way that thing is going to sell!
Do keep in mind that many games offering free PS4-to-PS5 upgrades means the numbers would be misleading anyway.
I have this case, so I keep wondering if I’m just sitting here with a ticking time bomb on my hands. I don’t use the risers, so I feel like I might be okay. But honestly, you never know.
I’ve always said that how you view XII says a lot about you as a gamer. If you loved the earlier FFs for their combat, you’re probably going to hate XII because it’s defined by its lack of user input. If you love XII, then you probably hate turn-based combat.
For me, a defining aspect of turn-based combat is the ability to control every action of every character. FFVIIR doesn’t allow that. In addition, it’s impossible to sequence-break because the combat is technically real-time.
Amen brotha’!
This thread is now three and a half years old!
I did a google search for “ETA game” and got nothin.
This is a great question because it really gets into what makes each gamer unique. I have a few different games that I replay “regularly.” I’ve noticed that this means almost exactly two years apart. That’s my baseline for a “good game.” A select few games, however, break through this threshold. Those games are:
Don’t forget the Nintendo 64 Disk Drive (Japan-Only) and Game Boy Color!
Traditionally, Nintendo has stuck pretty close to a five year console lifecycle. Next March would mark the five year anniversary of the Switch, so it would make sense to announce its successor sometime this year. (For reference, the Wii was announced a full 1.5 years before its release)
Reminds me of people congratulating Microsoft for effectively doing nothing when it decided to increase XBL prices and then reneged.
It is also worth noting that historically, console sales have increased during their first three years on the market, after which slowly decreasing. Switch is a bit odd because it released in March versus most releasing in November, but it’s likely fair to say that the Switch has peaked in terms of sales.
Not having another model to work with makes it easier for developers to focus on a single hardware configuration as well which is nice for them.
It’s kind of funny talking about Nintendo consoles in this way. No Nintendo device has ever sold as well as the PS2, and no non-handheld has sold as well as the PS1, PS2, or PS4. Yet strangely nobody has ever referred to Sony as having lightning in a bottle.
They also have a cellar full of Blue Ribbon.
While the Cum Dungeon may just seem like another shortcut, it’s really the culmination of efforts by both the developers at From Software and a dedicated community to make the game as engaging as possible.
