Most tv’s don’t support display.  Still seems kinda odd that they would remove that as a potential output for the system. 

does it get the buffeting sound that a close or unmiced earbud does not?

The stripped out fleet only trim levels they offer to rental fleets will retain their name. Also the soon-to-be K5 isn’t their flagship.
Using a rental as a litmus test for a future car purchase is a bad move in any case. 

The Kia Forte has a K3 badge on its upper trim models and is known as the K3 The Optima has a K5 trim badging as well. I’ts not too far of a jump for the company to name their cars K3 and K5 and just drop the naming portion.

It’s also a better way to denote the larger and up market cars from the smaller ones.

At that point just get a wired connection and use something like this to hook the car directly to the grid from below without needing the added weight and cost of a wireless charging system.

The distance from the coils in the car and the coils in the ground is a BIG issue that the tech has to overcome as well as demanding proper positioning of units. Top the distance issue with things like most road surfaces being asphalt that will interfere with the system means that you will have a very inefficient

level 2 works well as a top up mechanism for short parking times. It should be good once more gas stations and places like that have the higher rate chargers as places to get a full charge.
