Racing series changing regulations forcing the headlight if popup need to be fully sealed units and opened for operation in line with the production model when in use. They couldn’t do the partial squint open and use that as an air pass-through.  

The NSX swapping from Honda to Acrua needed a look that could be applied to more of the lineup as the Halo car. The rear end changes seem subtle but very noted. I can see the reasoning for the removal because of endurance racing and weight reduction. A few body color lenses covers fixed that quite well. 

I cam smell the clutch burning from that Ferrari from here.

A Swap to some buckets in the front and decent seat mounted belts and a collapsing steering column. Because slightly preventable death. For more fun there is a nice little turbo 4 that gm made that should sit right at home in there.
