I for one look forward to the expanded Play Doh Cinematic Universe. When they make standalone films for every color before teaming up to create a true cinematic abomination. One so powerful it creates a black hole singularity that sucks in all hope and joy in the galaxy. It will be powered by the tears of children and

Awesome news. Just wish this would have happened when more of the original cast was still alive. They are the last two standing from the original show correct?

And lo the seventh seal was broken. In case anyone had any doubts left, welcome to the end of days muthahumpers!

The ending of southern cross more than makes up for its short comings. It has the bleakest ending for any children's animated tale ever. Hero sacrifices himself in vain.

Really? You think this guy looks scary? Put Walter White next to him and seriously tell me he looks intimidating. He looks like a skinny 25 year old who went bald early and looks sad and angry. Ben Affleck is one thing this looks like a complete miscasting.

How about a letter writing campaign to Netflix or amazon to pick it up as a limited series? Its obvious that a film sequel is DOA but what if people petitioned content hosting outlets? Even crackle is getting into original show content now...

And you do? I think there is a Nobel Prize with your name on it along with worldwide recognition if you know the answer...

This latest trailer is not helping sell this film. This is really what Disney wants?? This is really what Brad Bird wants to make instead of Star Wars?? Or instead of incredibles 2????? Sure hope that payday is a big one....

Dark matter and energy are like an updated Ether theory from the 1800s. We can't see it...but its all around us!

And is he the right fit for the job or did he just get lucky with District 9?

He may not be good director anymore but he has good ideas and instincts. Maybe the two of them will make a good fit and bring both style and substance to a good level. Maybe.

Of course I did it was sucks on toast. But he has interesting ideas and since he's not directing it might work out and balance out okay. Hopefully.

How about a tv series instead of a sequel? The film was a perfect pilot to a Netflix or HBO type show. Imagine a weekly cop procedural with the edge from the Dredd universe.

If the film sequel is a dead end, maybe a 6-10 episode series could be a possibility

So with two misfires now under his belt, is it time to worry about Alien 5? Or will the influence and guidance of Ridley Scott help balance things out?

I think Jakhar from Babylon 5 summed it up pretty nicely.

The fan film I think just reflects the grim times we live in.

Nihilism is the new black.

I will happily eat crow being wrong about the chances of this getting made. The fact Hollywood is willing to put Sigourney Weaver into an action role at her age is really impressive. Could it be that Hollywood is ready to take bold chances again??? One can only hope

Sigh. Brad Bird passed on Star Wars for this film. The more images they release the more it looks like a mix between John Carter and the Lost in Space movie from the 90s.

Totally agree. Alien Isolation would be the best approach for any future Alien films.
