Agreed! I bought a PS3 after owning an xbox for many years first thing i realized was that my ps3 controller would last easily a week and a half to 2 before needing a charge. My xbox controller on the other hand easily needs to be recharged every 2 or 3 days with regular use.

True dat. Had a neighbor who got addicted to sex during his visit to Thailand. I didn't know that can happen.

I agree and highly respect them for that.

I love that they've been bringing the YS games over.

Hey there is a market for niche games. It isnt the largest but its there and the publishers know not to expect big numbers.

For the same reasons that so many FPS look the same.

Her breasts are actually Hydrogen producing. A lighter gas than Helium, Hydrogen is also quite flamable, boosting her fire magic powers.

WTF is this guy up too? I bet he drew the penis.

That's fine; people are making replacement hardware for it every day, and the decades-old content available on it handily trumps 85% of the shit churned out on the mobile scene.

There's no point in distributing physical media when the internet exists.

Lol, you are a god for picking this theme!!!!!

Chrono Cross, SMT, Front Mission 3, Suikoden, Legend of Mana, Radiata Stories, Star Ocean 2 (a bit), Way of the Samurai, Record of Agarest War, Super Robot Taisen, even Final Fantasy X-2 and XIII-2 at least give a pretty good amount of choice as to in what order you want to do things, and so on.

I think a big issue is that gamers tend to expect the same things from JRPGs that they expect from WRPGs. Rather than recognizing it as its own genre with its own tropes and expectations, they are disappointed because it of what it isn't and then demand that it change. They're going in with the wrong set of

The Suikoden series — II in particular — has some basis on choices being relevant to the plot. In fact, characters can live, die, join you, leave you, betray you or outright join the enemy army based your choices, and while the choices themselves seem to have little to no feedback immediately, some of them can change

Hey, did you know that Shin Megami Tensei, a JRPG series that has two decades of existence, did choices way before they were a thing in WRPG?

I hate the idea of a choice system...
I want a story, the story of that character. The entire reason i play JAPANESE RPGs.

Keep that choice system for the west :D

eh, most western games only offer superficial tacked on choice that doesn't even factor in the end. the amount of games that use player choice as an actual interesting mechanic aren't really as common as people percieve, I think.
