To be fair, the PS3 does have a superior library it's so called "superior technology" is so alien to many a developer that it has lead to several problems with game ports.

I think he's more implying that Japanese developers never bite off more than they can chew and (probably due to that money killing instinct known as "pride") are much less likely to release a game that won't actually work at launch rather than cutting their losses and tricking gamers into buying some broken shit pile.

And the replay value. Man a Japanese gaems are built with loads of single player replay value in mind. Tons of collectibles, item and skill upgrades and more. I recently got Macross 30 The Voice That Connects The Galaxy and I've already put hours into the game and I expect to put even more hours into it.

I like how rather than toting on and on about graphics and proceeding power these guys are actually considering the system's peripherals and other, deeper questions about the future of gaming in general.
