Not really. But cultural bias, personal preference and brand favoritism probably does play more of a role in most actually reviews than corporate funding. Which is probably why some games are handed to people who don't like it opposed to one of the other guys or gals in the office that did.

So many games have done far worst and received far greater praise.

I love how if it's inconvenient to the big money makers in our country we're expected to just turn our backs on rules, laws or even the very principles of our economic system (principles that we spent an entire cold war defending, for better or for worse).

Ok, here's what you do.

I'm just lulzing at everyone who says "Dragons Dogma fails because ______" who also gave praise to many Bethesda or Bioware RPGs for the very thing they said ruined Dragon's Dogma.

But isn't "OK" the new "awesome" because that way it's easy for everyone and anyone to get into it?

Or maybe this guy?

I'm glad my tip was of use.

You crawled out of the mire. Good for you. You're life is not typical. There is this notion that because you broke your back, took a lot of risks and got lucky that anyone can do it and that couldn't be further from the truth. It's a perfect example of the mindset of a self made man who looks at everyone else and

Read the very first sentence in your last reply. Read it out loud. You said: "But bias does not close ALL doors, and will be slowly eroded by the hard work of those who we see as targets of discrimination."

Colorblindness doesn't mean you ignore the problems that exist, and they do.

FPS gamers expect the popular US army guns to be in everything these days, regardless. Otherwise their gun porn just feels wrong.

According to the big names in the industry the entire industry would collapse and go bankrupt in mere hours and then no one would have any games at all.

No I agree. I just lament that such intelligent conversations are often passed over in favor of flame wars and self gratifying circle jerks that reinforce one's world view opposed to more mature discussions.

"They'll grow up in a world of poverty, drugs, gang violence, and other factors that are going to keep a large chunk of the populace from achieving anything in life. That's a reality. That's not racism."

Would you be so kind as to cite sources and refer to specific lies? It's easy to talk all tough and confident like that when you remain vague and neglect to attempt to offer your own counter argument.

Both class AND color are a problem, though. People don't get that both problems exist independently of each other and along side each other. Both are problems to be addressed bot rather than addressing both issues people seem to use one to discredit the other, and vice versa.

When you consider the maturity level of most people who dismiss these articles you really do need to talk to them like ignorant children to get the point across. That's what makes the fight so hard, the fact that the bulk of people who don't get it probably never will and the people who are smart enough to get it

They probably don't. Oh but don't worry, the online component will have loads of replayibility and probably offer you the chance to buy DLC!

You know why we can never have a mature conversation about race in this country, no, on this planet?
