It is an interesting viewpoint and I suppose a lot of people do learn better when they’re under pressure or feel the stakes are high! I still think it would be good to have options for people that still want to tackle the challenge but don’t learn well under that specific teaching style.

That’s, ironically, the actual reason you git gud.

I mean, that’s like, your opinion man.

I actually greatly enjoyed FF XIII

Toxic bro checks in. Here’s a guy who just doesn’t like seeing women’s names here.

Immortality does not like auteurs”

I mean what did the Kojimas ever do to you. (And hell, Snyder’s fans can get weird but he himself is apparently a peach to work with.)

You're the one who took a criticism of an aspect of those films as dismissal of those entire films. Nice attempt at deflecting, by the way.

Feel free to submit your own work

Genuine question: do you expect all characters in a piece of media to be virtuous and say the ‘right’ thing (right seen through the lens of 2022) in all situations? Do you think there’s no place for a character to be be wrong about something or say something crass or inappropriate?

Psycho, Dressed To Kill, and Silence Of The Lambs are great films, and apparently that means they are above criticism or discussion surrounding how they portray the expression of gender.

“I mean that as a compliment—all of Michelangelo’s women look like men with tits stuck on them.” Um, what?”

I just can’t deal with reviews like this, ones that are so much more about the reviewer than the material. As an opinion piece, sure, but calling this a review is disingenuous.

look, process servers go where they can get to someone. The client doesn’t dictate when and where they serve the summons. She’s being really silly. This is nothing at all like the pirate.

Holy shit you are just so insistent on misconstruing things. The only input Sudeikis had was asking that she be served where he thought she could be found (the airport or at her hotel), neither of which were meant to be public. But, and I quote “after several failed attempts” the processor server resorted to

As was pretty well established by a variety of much better informed commenters on Jezebel’s two posts regarding that, Sudeikis has zero control over how she was served and what’s more he publicly expressed regret about how that went down (despite having no control over it).

Except it’s already been said that Sudeikis didn’t have knowledge they would do that and there’s no proof either way that he did or did not state they should.

In fairness, ‘It....Why not?’ is a pretty solid reaction to the Markia-Radagon connection.

Its absurd and makes no sense and even the best lore enthusiasts don’t know how it works mechanically. But why not? Its bonkers enough for a Fromsoft game, I’ll roll with it.

I felt that everything about the first episode was sort of meh. There were no big swings (think Jamie pushing Bran out of a window in the first episode of GoT), and there wasn’t really a hook, or rather, the hook is that the story is set in the GoT world, which is not much to bank on given how bad the previous show

I felt it served to turn the events of GoT into more of a tragedy. The Targaryen dynasty had generations to prepare for the White Walkers, but due to their own in-fighting and civil wars, by the time the moment came, they had nothing to show for it.

It was a reference to Dany’s older brother having similar prophetic dreams and trying to become the Prince That Was Promised to ensure humanity’s survival, only for Robert Baratheon to hammer his brains out during the Rebellion. Prophecies in Westeros don’t always pan out.
