Whatever else the movie did wrong, the idea of ‘TLJ ruining Luke’ from ‘hardcore’ fans is the most hilarious misunderstanding of Star Wars characters, lore and philosophy they could muster.
I mean, that seems like a high-effort shit take mate, because you’re just amplifying what he says are very minor issues, and claiming they’re huge, whilst ignoring everything he says is good.
“I’m going to write the exact sentiment the trailer gives, in a way that makes it seem like I didn’t watch it, understand it, or care either way”.
“with the help of Nicole Holofcener”
Ender’s Game is a mediocre book and Orson Scott Card is a crappy human being. There. I said it.
I can’t believe I’m going to do this, but I’m finding myself, some 15 years after she died, really struggling with my mother’s death and all the trauma from growing up with abusive alcoholics of which my mother was NOT one. If I, a pretty together person for the most part, am barely hanging on, I cannot imagine what…
Yup, the next gen edition is an upgraded port.
Exactly.
Considering how the franchise was/is in production hell, it might have actually done more harm if he was constantly unavailable due to shoots that never see the light of day.
You’re drastically underestimating how good at fucking over creatives Hollywood studio accounting departments are. Some examples of movies that have (according to their studios) never turned a net profit: Return of the Jedi, Forrest Gump, Men in Black, Spider-Man, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix... the list…
I’m really confused here as if the parents wealth was never a secret, what is a real revelation here? That Kemper won a creepy sounding pageant when she was pretty young? Also yeah, she was 19 then, but apparently grew up in a sheltered environment and might not have been able to make certain connections about things…
I didn’t get that vibe from the post like at all. Just a ‘hey this is out again and since nobody’s found it: enjoy’
There’s really not much of anything here. The headline and the beginning of the story made it sound like Erin from The Office was burning crosses and shit. Nope, she attended some corny debutante ball thing that has a racist past. Most of the US has a racist past.
Am I missing something? I see no connection other than the origins of the festival or party or whatever that would tie her to KKK leanings. If dumbass Black people wanted to join that bullshit, that’s of course their choice but I don’t see where she was personally connected to the KKK or even racism. I also think it’s…
“Carrie was nodding - a classic sign of heroin use. You don’t drop off like that from sheer tiredness - especially when your kid is in the bath.”
I feel like its really dishonest.
You doing okay?
He’s in the show. It says so in the review. Weirdo.
