I immediately make sure subtitles are OFF. If they’re on, I hyperfixate on them and miss everything else going on. If I can’t turn them off in cutscenes, I usually just don’t continue playing the game because it’s such a bad experience for me. I know this is the opposite of what most people do now.

Politics permeates our lives, but not everybody is political when they make statements.  Context matters.  When talking about how AmeriKKKa shits on Black people, that’s a social construct.  Talking about HOW they do it is political.  It crosses back and forth over the spectrum.

I do hope that this doesn’t dissuade them from Mass Effect multiplayer in the future. Tying it in to the single-player GR rating in 3 was dumb, but beyond that the multiplayer was one of the best aspects of that game. And while I have yet to touch Andromeda, my understanding is the multiplayer kept going strong there.

Sure, and damage control, in this instance isn’t necessarily bad, right? “We messed up, here is what you want.” seems like an okay sentiment?
