I would like to formally suggest a Final Fantasy post on this topic.

I did notice Baracka once earnestly posted a paragraph of hate at another commenter because he lived in New York and therefore chose to pay taxes that support Louis CK. Imagine having to move every time someone in your tax district did something bad. Moving is the worst—must be exhausting to live like that.
In Dark Souls 2 there is a giant rock spider boss you fight in a cave. Fighting it the first time through isn’t so bad. But if you play again on NG+, as you make your way towards its lair, your controller starts rumbling out of nowhere and the boss’s health bar shows up and it basically careens down the mountain and…
with the pass
I think you are technically honor-bound to accept this challenge.
Something is weird with this account. That handle has been posting normal, sports-related takes on Deadspin for years. Just took a gander at his comment history and suddenly it’s all vile, vile racist and homophobic shit, and all comments are posted like 10 times each. Either he had a cataclysmic psychological break,…
Everyone in GoH is divided up by Light Side and Dark Side. They have far more Light Side people in canon/Legends to choose from (96 LS vs 72 DS right now) so they have to dig a little deeper for Dark Side characters.
One of the most perplexing, galaxy-brained defenses of Trump on race is how Black/Latinx unemployment has decreased under his watch. Regardless of the tangential facts that dispute how accurate an indicator of economic wellness this is, it is not as though this was the result of a deliberate policy/sentiment from his…
Well true, but I still feel there’s value in reporting on confirmations of “open secrets” so that we might move them into the realm of “open non-secrets.”
Not sure if this is a psychological “trick,” but when I was younger I used to think saying “I don’t care, whatever you want to do” was being flexible and helpful re: making plans. It’s not; it’s trash.
Seven years of Deadspin commenting under a Boston Bruins player pun just for this moment would be the ultimate long play
She strikes me as the type of person that many in the Splinterverse will roll their eyes at, but if those same people knew her personally would instead be like, “Oh Valerie? She’s awesome. Fucking love Valerie.”
The MAGA glee over this seems strange to me. First, doesn’t it give Mueller’s office credibility in the face of all the accusations that they have it in for Trump? Second, doesn’t it give credibility to all the semi-speculative pieces of information that have come out from various outlets that the special counsel’s off…
I know it doesn’t even merit a serious response, but the “DURR, why don’t you just move to Canada if you hate Trump DURR” thing is particularly annoying and nonsensical. People speak out against the government because it’s a profoundly American thing to do; we love so much about this country and believe it can…
My understanding of white supremacy is that it’s the idea that there is something inherent to whiteness that makes it better than other races. How is this not a patently, objectively racist stance in logical terms? What NBC is doing, supposedly in the name of objectivity, achieves the opposite.
There are times when I think, and bear with me here, that she might not actually believe in anything and is simply desperate for attention.
They’d marvel at his ability to “tell it like it is.”
Something about the spirit of this irks me.
I agree with a lot of the spirit of your comment. Mathematical errors are not ever considered acceptable in everyday use—you’d be flamed at for getting 6 times 8 wrong, or something like that. But for some reason plenty of people are fine with getting your/you’re or their/there/they’re wrong.
Always amazes me how random losers slash haters on twitter can manage to capture a person’s voice in fake transcripts more authentically than the vast majority of Hollywood writers.
