This is about all I’ve listened to since it came out last month. I was gutted to have missed them at Brooklyn Steel the other week. If anyone was lucky enough to go, how was it?

This is a great, thoughtful comment but the beauty of the Deadspin Awards is how subjectively we can interpret their phrasing. In my own head, none of what you laid out beats Colangelo’s wife in terms of my personal definition of “best.”

I think you got this right and you’re more-starred replies got this wrong. Graham could be the most anti-gay advocate on earth—I’m still not going to pejoratively call him Miss Lindsey etc like some giggling child.

The true brilliance of the disingenuous “too soon” tactic is that given how often mass shootings occur, it will always be “too soon.” The argument can be deployed in perpetuity.

He’s obviously just upset about the Splinter commenter purge.

Which is why this kind of seems like bad politics to me. I would think they’d want to cry “voter fraud!” should they end up getting shelled tomorrow. If they publicize how closely they’re monitoring it, they take that card from their deck.

Good on Rick for firing one last nut off before he meets his demise. We should all be so lucky.

Just to clarify on some of the replies you’re getting: While it’s true that swords, emotes, and certain super abilities will switch your view to third-person, these are pretty minor considerations that seem to miss the heart of your question. The vast, vast majority of your time is spent in first-person and you do not

I think I’m a bit older than the average reader, but I don’t mind when videogames embrace their videogamey-ness. I know system limitations gave us the lack of mantling and vaulting that I grew up on, but it felt more game-ish and puzzley to get around in the old days. I don’t think it’s patently, universally better to

I was thinking this exact thing. Well said. I feel like those arguments often amount to “well, if this thing were different, the public response to it would be different!” which should be obvious and not need to be stated.

Remember when Americans considered Nazis objectively bad? Simpler times.

Also off topic, but he’s talking to Seth Rogen in this scene isn’t he?

BTW, I apologise, I am a white, chrch going American.

I don’t get it. I’m always hearing from these people that multi-racial couples in commercials/movies/tv are a product of liberal brainwashing and not a reflection of reality. How could it possibly be that he’s seeing them everywhere?

I thought I was down with all the Destiny in-jokes... what is this Edge “of” Transit business?

I will never not star a joke about everyone’s favorite millennial comedian, Dan Nainan.

Haha, I actually like Axios. Just going off OP’s description and taking any excuse possible to take a shot at Cillizza :)

Whenever I read Axios I feel like I’m being treated like an idiot who can only digest information in kid-sized portions.

Hmmm, maybe the Chargers’ Mike Scifres?

You are truly an idiot. Enough said, our president is great jackass.
