Nintendo left numerous Wii games that were TOP-SHELF quality over in Europe, fully translated into English. In some cases, they eventually got here because some other company went to Nintendo and begged to release them. In some cases, those games never came here at all.

There are plenty of people who worked with him who do vouch for his drawing abililty, character design, level design, and conceptual skills. Hell, read any of the Mega Man Collected Works books, either from before or after he left.
