Yup. Our helium reserves are dangerously low and have important use in medicine. Yet, the price of helium is controlled by the government and held artificially low, so we just keep using it like nothing is wrong. The fix isn’t as simple as “make some more” since helium can’t be manufactured like, say, hydrogen.

Just another way to waste the limited supplies of helium that we have.

I’ve seen some US court documents where the grammar of the English language simply does not exist. Its more about the interpreted ‘intent’ and not so much about the literal ‘meaning’ of the words. Whereas laws can pivot on the precise meaning of each syllable contained within and what angle the sun was at when the

Shouldn’t there just be cameras in this type of situation? It’s 2019 and it’s not expensive to set up cameras and it could catch other forms of abuse.

You ask some great questions, and I agree with your questions 100%, but there is one question that you asked:

If it’s a private facility, it’s better. Not sure how it works in the USA, but up here in Canada we have a large number of public (free) facilities where, well, they’re treated like cattle. Very few nurses care about what they’re doing beyond the bare minimum of the job requirements if they even meet the bare minimum.

Put yourself in the shoes of a guy with a family who's found an apartment he can afford on a paycheck-to-paycheck income. At the time he signs the lease, his car is dent-free. He takes the gamble that he can keep it that way, but a hit-and-run in the Costco lot means he's lost the bet. And now he's subject to an

This was my exact thought as well; whenever you see stories like these they’re invariably suing for $8 billion in pain and suffering, this guy seems so sane in comparison asking for a totally defensible amount of money based on a reasonable interpretation of “free food for life”.

I’m not taking Brooner’s side, but I fail to see how a twenty-odd year old sexual assault conviction is relevant to this matter...

I brought that up to the researchers, who predictably groaned at the umpteen time they’ve heard that reference!

Not for nothing, but as a parent you’re supposed to be caring for, nurturing and protecting your children… not using them as props on social media to feed your own ego. Stop this.

Now playing

If you think you are going to “pull it out” like a stump you are not going to succeed. Thread the tow strap through the center and loop it over the top.

I don’t want to give birth anywhere,
in a hospital, in a car, or in the air.
I don’t want to give birth on a plane,
on a bike, on a scooter, or on a train.
I don’t want to give birth while I face
floating aimlessly through deep space.

JUST. NO.

In space no one can hear you cream.

“No, baby, the birth canal is lower! AHHHHHH...”

“I couldn’t control you,”

They were plastic coated but there was some metal present...
