Actually once someone has produced an ESA letter they are most assuredly not covered by the ADA, therefore the rules about not asking any questions go out the window. It’s funny because under the ADA you can’t ask, but voluntarily providing the letter demonstrates you’re not covered under the ADA.
Emotional Support Animals aren’t covered under Title II or Title III of the ADA. Actual service animals are covered by the ADA.
