I'd call that more of a cream-gold, myself. Also, everything looks better on a Delahaye in two-tone. Even Ford's vomit green color from the '70s and AMC's weird yellow would.
DQ for being a whole spectrum of colors. That's cheating, dangit.
Back in black, I hit the track, been too long I'm glad to be back
It's like... how much more black could it be, and the answer is, none. None more black.
You know, all around me are familiar colors, worn out styling, worn out colors, even. Commuter design is going nowhere, and you can just imagine people who want something flashy crying into their glasses. There's no expression. I'd want to drown my sorrows about it, but I'm not quite to that point. And I find it kind…
*Groucho Marx eyebrow wiggle*
That's quite clever.
...That's why I mentioned the X-1. Never meant to imply it was the same occasion. The point of him being injured is that a fit man might at least have had some illusions about being able to escape or control it if it turned all deathtrap-ey, and as a consequence of his injury he clearly had none. And yes, his…
That's what I meant; I should have clarified. He was screwed if anything went wrong, with how long that would have taken.
The part where Yeager had messed himself up and was flying the X-1 with a stick in the cockpit to help him (and probably couldn't have ejected) deserves mention too.
It's funny, but I think the Samurai has a certain Japanese-ness in it that might be hard to replace with equivalent quantities of Italian. It might be difficult to rip off the Samurai too throughly and still keep it Cinquecento flavored. On the other hand, size factor and options virtually identical to the Suz…
Really good idea, terrible price and workmanship.
Dead on with the #1, I was going nuts looking, found it, and you beat me to it. I'll post a pic to the main thread.
That's what I thought too, but the "V" in chrome is much heavier, and intersects the hood stripe with a joining piece.
Doesn't seem to be a year of Commander that has the chrome "V" lines that intersect the nose stripe like in the pic.
