I’m still kinda surprised every time there’s actual content on this site. It’s like hearing from an ex.

There’s a directors cut out there, somewhere, when the funeral cart gets stuck in the mud, the whole thing topples over, and Jahaerys’ tiny little head goes rolling down the cobblestone.

My wife made a good catch during the episode. Both Heleana and Rhaenyra – nearly simultaneously – seem to have waking visions of ashfall. For Heleana, it’s the ember-coloured petals the smallfolk are throwing down upon her. For Rhaenyra, it’s the dust illuminated by her windows’ sunshafts as she plays with her

I really appreciate that these recaps/reviews don’t include book spoilers. I understand commenters can’t be expected to hold back direct or indirect references to events in the books, which some commenters seem to relish giving away, but it’s nice to find good recaps/reviews that stick to just the show.

I can’t imagine that Hughie has Ninja-training on how to crawll throught ducts stealthily and soundless.”
I thought the entire reason Hughie stayed there in the first place was he knew Homelander would hear him if he tried to crawl away.
Meanwhile, being air vents, his scent should have been blowing directly down onto

Firecracker’s speech about how to motivate the uninspired masses online to think that they’re in a culture war was pretty terrifying, because it’s just the Republican playbook of the last 5 years. Scary that she knows exactly what she’s doing.

Homelander, who can see through walls with such precision that he can see Butcher’s tumor, hear heartbeats, smell another person on someone who just stood in the same room, yeah, Hughie’s plot armor was a pretty low point, reminding me of one of Kripke’s other terrible shows, Revolution, where a 40 something guy is

I read through the whole comic series for the first time last Christmas. Let's just say that reading that very much made me appreciate everything the show has ever done.

It reeks of an 8 episode TV show trying desperately to cram in as many storylines from a seemingly long-running book series as it possibly can.

The problem with introducing a character who’s the “smartest person alive” is that you need writers who will treat her as such. I haven’t read the source material this is based on, but smartness, cleverness or any sort of subtlety is NOT something this show does well. It does loud, dumb, messy, entertaining,

Mentioned “drowning in a chocolate fountain,” but no juxtaposition with the earlier “chocolate fountain”? Funniest gag in the episode, IMO.

I can’t tell if this person is being satirical, or if he genuinely thinks Homelander and his pro-murder followers that accuse the victim of being a pedophile are supposed to be the good guys. There’s slow, and then there’s slooooooooooooooooooooooooooow.

Finally catching up on this, and I just wanted to say it was weird to have Smash Mouth performing live offscreen after the guy died last year.

It’s amazing to me when people who are paid to recap/review stuff miss the most basic shit. It’s a Maisel-themed Bat Mitzvah that’s happening *next* to the TruthCon, not AT it. Hotels often have different events at the same time. I was at a small comic con in a hotel once and there was a totally separate furry

I think the difference is some people like as much information as possible from all sources, even obvious propaganda, whereas conservatives close out the rest of the planet in favor of the media that reinforces beliefs already held.

The shot of him landing on a building and slowly, bloodily dripping down like a smashed bug

No mention of the insane decision to pitch-shift every line from 16-year-old Cameron Crovetti in an attempt to sell us on him being still only 12?

Frenchie and Kimiko were the biggest drawback for me in the first fiew episodes, as I felt they were end game and apparently they’re not. This season seems to totally pass the efforts of past seasons and it makes no sense to me. I agree with the article. Why did they spend three seasons setting it up to veer wildly in

I had the exact same problem with MM — without the beard he looks smaller and I kept going back and forth on whether it was the same guy or not until I caved and looked it up.

I dunno, The Boys “satire” already failed to live up to reality for me when Stormfront had her superhero career instantly ruined by her being outed as an actual, literal Nazi. In 2024 I feel like that would be at worst a speed-bump for her publicity, and at best the perfect dogwhistle to her followers.
