There’s no need to explain.

My take is a bit of split the difference - I’m dubious the version pictured in the film is remotely practical, but it does sound like an embellished version of planting a tree on someone’s grave: his body is food for maggots and his remains will nourish her tree. In his speech, the History Man admits there are a lot

Amen. It’s just a different name for “it was all a dream”.

Well said. I absolutely loathe this typical go-to fan theory. It’s just a slightly dressed up version of “It was all just a dream” and screw that noise.

That’s the worst thing about the Bond movies. I’m all for just going “Ok, new Bond film, and this is what’s happening in it” and treating it as a self-contained story.

This is absolutely the way to look at it.

No. I think the fever dream ambience of post-apocalyptic and dystopian movies precludes any need for strict continuity. They should feel chaotic.

Here’s the two theories the fans posit:

I mean, Furiosa puts the Storyteller in the actual movie (and Dr. Dementus’s “History Man” is called “The First History Man” in the credits.) So it’s pretty clear these are “stories the people in the Wasteland tell about their history” not “what actually happened.”

Speaking of comics, I wasn’t aware there are some Fury Road tie-in comics from like 2016, and the Furiosa one apparently covers her time with the wives, working for Immortan Joe (quickly fipped through it online, and it seems to be the case). Pretty much the story I wanted from this new movie... Miller provided the

This article is all over the place. ok, a new robot is being introduced in a fireworks show? Is the robot a set piece? free ranging? Instead 2/3s the article is explaining who the heck Tohan Ledge is? Which I still don’t get and don’t care: is he canon, comic, movie, streaming?

Very cool. I was there last week and saw Fire of the Rising Moons. A monologue opened the fireworks and I didn't recognize who was delivering it - I think it was the Lore Weaver now. However Bard was not ready at the time, I guess, because I don't recall seeing him.

So, Fire of the Rising Moons continues “past the season’s end on June 2" -- but any idea how long past? i’m going to be there over the 4th of July, and it would be great to see this.

A Song of Ice and Fire is my favorite book series, and Third Eye Blind is my favorite band, so your username is the best I’ve ever seen!

This place always struck me as strange, like it was out of place. The Disney resorts are mostly designed with the theme parks in mind - a place to stay, eat, relax, and unwind after a long, hot day in the parks.  The immersive place seems to be the complete opposite as in the experience is just staying in the hotel.

I’m quite pleased that Hit-Monkey got renewed, because I don’t know anybody else who watched it. (It was good weird fun, but also on Hulu... where Disney sends shows they have no faith in to die.)

Somebody must have had very compromising photos of one of the studio execs or they had exactly X dollars left in that

Oh, poor thing, a medium-security prison next to a minimum-security prison, near his parents. How tough life must be.

Ffs... Do you not know how Oral Histories work? Because this absolutely is not an oral history in any way, shape, or form. Look at literally any other oral history ever published, then look at this. Notice the massive difference? Just because an article includes a few quotes from people does not make it an Oral

The world weeps that Roger Corman was never able to make a Turner D. Century film!
